wow, what game is that? Looks really great, but what computer spec will it require to run it?

Game is called 'crysis', and I suspect it needs it's own powerplant.
Another nice one,

yeah, it'll probably require quite a lot, AND probably have very very small levels so you have to load a new map every 20 seconds or so... But it's interesting to see this, it might be standardized graphics quality in five to eight years...

It's being made for DX10 cards, so there is no computer available today that could run the game like that...
EDIT: you should be able to find gameplay footage on google video

I thought the first picture was a photo for a second...

I found some amazing tech videos of their engine. The physics are really impressive, as are the indoor scenes. However the sky, sea and landscape from a distance was just meh... What's impressive is that the can render both big open outdoor landscapes and good indoors and in dense jungle. Too bad they decided to make a zoombie game instead of a Vietnam game of it, though. An Operation Flashpoint style Vietnam game with that engine would rock...

Idem.
Huuuge. This game is off the rocks!
What's this game?(apart from a shooter, with Delta Force guys)
oh boy, I am going to have an accident.....

What's this game?(apart from a shooter, with Delta Force guys) I read - from a scanned game magazine awhile ago - that it's about a mysterious alien landing where North Korea and America race to investigate (or something to that effect). It's using the new Cry Engine.
I take it that CryTek are making this game, and if they are and if it's anything like FarCry was then this game could possibly be the greatest FPS ever!
I took that first pic as a real photo too... Then the second came up and it was obviously not a photot, but still, great looks.
Apparently these aren't even with DX10 yet (which it will support)...

The groundtextures in the valley look like low-res textures, there are no details except in the hills, actually the first pics are more impressive, but I´m waiting for Armed Assault and then Game2 from Bohemia Interactive anyway.
I don´t think the gameplay of Crysis will suit me. Like Legio I´m not a big fan of zombie games.

Holy crap. I almost soiled myself when I saw these (and yes, I thought the first screenshot was a photo as well ~:) ). Is that actual in-game footage?

I predict that Total War will look like that in 5 years time... ;)

This is basically Far Cry 2 in all but name (Crytek lost the license so have had to rename it and come up with a new story) and it will probably require a supercomputer to play it at full settings.
probably have very very small levels so you have to load a new map every 20 seconds or so...
Quite the opposite actually, the maps will be absolutely huge and won't require any loading between sections, only between different "levels". Thats actually the brilliance of the Crytek engine, it has great detail but still manages to create massive levels.
A new preview w/screens:
