As title,
where are you from, what kind of a car do you drive (if you do) and how fast is it. Post pictures of it if you can find them.
I'm curious to know :). Esp. since everyone in the states have cars with more than 150 bhp. if I have to believe Top Gear etc.

What's that in real mph speeds? ~;)
I recently purchased my first car for several years, a 12 year old 1000cc Ford Fiesta for 300 quid. One old bloke owner, immaculate condition, full service history. Bargain. Oh, and it's a nice shade of blue and will do about 90 mph with a strong tailwind, and it does lots of mpg. It'll really help with my postal job, as I have to travel to different centres covering for other posties. It will get hammered until I finish in July.
Oh, it probably has a couple of tired, asthmatic old horsies in the engine somewhere.

The pic isn't of my car, but it's pretty much it.

One of these babies in dark blue I inherited from my dad. As of speed, couldn't really tell, I measure speed in multiples opf the speed limit. Speed limit, twice the speed limit and trice the speed limit, usually doesn't get faster than that.... Good enough to carry surfboards

My little pride and joy:
https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v695/aslanngrae/spitfire-side.jpg
1976 Triumph Spitfire 1500 - in winter trim. Now it's Easter and the sun is shining, it will soon be time to replace the roof with its hood.
These were hairy when they had a 1300 engine, the 1500 is somewhat overpowered and the De Dion axle only just copes. For best handling, it has a paving slab in the boot. :scared:
Top speed is about 130 mph, the edge taken off by the conversion to unleaded fuel. Crazy fun on country roads at 40 though!

I'm just hoping his lawyer status doesn't come into the picture at all. Maybe it'll just be me and his insurance company working it out. At the scene of the accident he said an incredibly small number of words to me and the cop - which I didn't understand till the end, when I found out he was a lawyer.

'94 Cavalier Z24. It's in good shape, and is quite reliable. Comfortable seats and a smooth ride; I don't like those pushy city street drivers; you're not going to have any fun on these streets so just relax and we'll all be happier.~D My motorbike is for sport, and I could never convince myself that I could have as much fun in a car. My dad gets me to drive his collector ones around when he goes to a classic car shows though. They can be a bit fun to drive as a change of pace. Car show season is starting up again and I'll be trekking to Hershey and Iola Gah! The car shows are to boredom what the devil incarnate is to the devil.:shame:
1995 Acura (Honda) Integra. 2-door hatchback, light, and sporty, and thoroughly abused by yours truly. Got about 115K miles on it, I think the fastest I've gone in it is 120mph. It could go faster, but why push it? Here in the US, this car has had the honor of being the most stolen car model early this decade. Big market for the engines by tuners/ricers, supposedly.
Considering the abuse, it's done well. Very reliable, hopefully I can get another couple of years out of it.
It is under my name :2thumbsup:
yes, I rock.
Just started driving, I don't own my own car (yet) but I borrow my dad's car.

I've been rather fond of driving this around lately. Though, I've been told numerous times by the Campus Police that if I continue parking in the College Parking Lot they're going to tow it. and finding a not packed nearby parking lot that can accomadate it has been rough.

BMW 325xi, not the speediest of cars, but it can take corners at outrageous velocities. Bought it used for a very, very good price. Note the gratuitous child included in the picture. Maxwell likes the wheels. When he conquers the world, I will let him drive it.

Uh, is that big enough to transport all Lemurs to the next objective point aimed at conquering the world ?
Queen Lemur has the Squad Assault Vehicle, which is big enough for all of the lemurs and our hounds. It's known to civilians as the Volvo XC70 station wagon. Here's a picture of one (not ours, but the same sort of thing):
https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v489/Lemurmania/Volvo.jpg
As you can see, it's a sort of station wagon on steroids. Queen Lemur calls it her "snow bus."
Alex of Macedon, I draw income from a few different sources, but my day job these days is hawking document management systems to unsuspecting corporations. If you want to know about the other ways I make money, I will require a signed disclosure form in triplicate.
It's worth pointing out that neither vehicle cost us a lot of money. Both were new-ish used cars (the Volvo was four years old, the BMW three years old), and both came with those "pre-owned" warranties, which give you more coverage than a new car. I won't get too specific, but the BMW cost me less than a new loaded Honda Accord would have. It's all about shopping around until you find the price you were looking for.
What I really wanted was a Mini Cooper, but the used market for them is useless; they're too new. When I spec'd one out the way I'd want it, the car was just as expensive as the used BMW. And the sedan is probably a lot safer on the highway than a Mini. (But I lusted for a Mini. Maybe in four or five years, when the used market has developed ...)

[Sigh] I too was surprised when I realised a car was now a disposable item.
Its all a conspiracy to keep you consuming, people.
Oh yeah, car: a Toyota Corolla. It starts, stops, carries all the assassins, is very boring, but then, its a car. If I had a nice car I might have to start questioning the bike thing and the God of Two Wheels is a jealous god...
