Q: How do you arrive here at the Org everyday (or however often you visit)?
We want to get a sense of what methods you usually use, to see if we need to improve navigation in some way. I've listed a few guesses of popular ways to get here, above - but I'm sure there are others.
Thanks for your input.
I type "tot" in the address bar, totalwar.org comes up and I click it.
I'm old fashioned.

I do it the same way Beirut does.I usually only bookmark Urls that i need but cant remember.:burnout:
First I check the filemanager, than I either type "for" or "tot" in the adress bar. I therefor selected both the bookmark for the forum and the frontpage.

Thanks to tabbed browsing function of my browser and my broadband connection, one section of the forum is always open in my browser. I do not turn off my PC, it runs 24/7 that's why I don't need any bookmarks. However I chose the most suitable option in the poll for it.
Who can forget the address of his favorite vault on the net, so that he has to bookmark ? ~:)

It's in my favourites.
Open the Internet and within two clicks, I'm here.
The bookmark takes me to the homepage by the way, and then I navigate my favourite forums manually.
Same.
The forum index is in my favourites.

Thanks to the wonders of Opera's tabbed browsing system, i need never remember the .org forum address again. It's tabbed along with about 14 of my other favourite websites.

Initially found the site by searching for a guide to RTW. I found Quietus' Guide for RTW on a Google search and whallah......there was the Guild. I saved it to my favorites folder, and use that most of the time.

I arrive here by car. ~:)
First time I was surfing (on the sea) and looking for intresting tips on shogun... found the forum and registered... ~:)
by now..
- start up computer
- enter my password and click enter
- double-click IE
- click in browser bar
- use backspace a few times
and now, the big moment:
I type: "f" and not just an f, but a real nice f. then, suddenly IE understand me and sais: want to check the .org? I say yeah! and click the white bar that appears under the adress bar. and then, I grab a cup of tea and read my pm's ~:)
***
above is crap :embarassed:
but about the "f" is true. I just type an f and the adress appears ~:)

I type totalwar.org in the browser, click to the forum and log in.
I'm ashamed of posting on a forum, let alone a forum for games, so I clean internet each time I've visited. Am I weird,do more people do this, or am I just a nerd in disguise?

I have the front page as my home page, and then use a bookmark to the forums, usually that is faster than waiting for the frontpage to load and clicking forum. :shame:

When using Opera, or Firefox with SessionManager, I have the forum home and several forums tabbed. With Internet Explorer I generally use a UserCP bookmark.

Way too practical for a moderator :goofy:
Since I visit the place relatively frequently, I`ve bookmarked it (the forum).

Well, weirdly enough most of the time I arrive here via the homepage of Europa Barbarorum.
It's a habit I picked up when the homepage of EB was already up, but the mod itself wasn't out yet. Every day (more like every hour really) I went to the EB site first to check if the mod was out yet and after that I simply clicked on the "forums" link on their site.
So anyway, are there any prizes for the weirdest way to reach the forums?
I use the front page and link here, may take an extra 2 seconds to get to the frorums but at least this way I can catch any major announcements plus if the forums are down that page is usually up and sometimes indicates the forums are down

Option Two.
Bookmarked forum index.
I would use the homepage but its annoying that the Forum link spawns a new window, I only ever click it after reading the homepage anyway so it should navigate to forum in same window.
