In the US we have a "finals week" which is like the last week before you're free for summer where the schedule for school is different. You just go to two periods a day each day (different ones) and take a two hour test.
My last day of school is May 25, so it should be in about one month.:sweatdrop:

Best of luck. I would hate to have to take SAT's.
I have AP Java to study for :dizzy2:
But at least I'm #1 in my class (which doesn't amount to much because the average joe in my class is an idiot:wall: )
Thus far, 3 practice examinations with well over 500 pages of review work.

500 pages! Why did you even log on here!
I have too take like 8 exams I cant exempt any of them because I missed too many days of school. so thats in a couple of weeks. Will probably skip the ones that are impossible for me too pass the class.

Welcome to the wide and wonderful world of getting older. But in the end it'll pay off, unless you want to work at Wal-Mart.
I have two AP tests next week and many finals coming up in the following month.

...Dont let everyone trick you into thinking that the inconvenience of exams will end once you graduate from school/college/university...
...I am sitting for the third of my Certificate in Insurance exams tomorrow...Professional qualifications are in fashion again...it appears that a BSc and an MSc were not enough...
...If u think that Algebra is boring imagine having to learn about the wonderfull world of stolen caravans and about the levels of excess that apply if you claim for Vet fees for your pregnant dog...
...just pathetic...

Top assassin exam tip: BEFORE turning the question paper over, draw a panic button on your scrap paper. Then, if the questions are not to your liking, you can press it.
I only had to press mine once, in the Metabolism paper of my biochemistry finals, when only one of the ten questions was one that I had revised for (and you had to answer three...). Still, metabolism is for losers.

I have 5 exams in May...
highers in English, Physics, Classics, Maths, and Chemistry...
The results of these shall decide which universities I apply to...
yeh i have my gcse's through may (then 10 weeks holiday!)
the only one i dont want to do is my french oral (i dont actually speak any french)
as far as stress goes there is very little, to get into the 6th form at my school you have to get 5 C's, so apart from the ones i want to do at A-level they dont mean very much, btw whoever it was who was doing a gcse and as lvl early, thats damn crazy (you must be some kind of genius :2thumbsup: )

How many AP's are you taking?
AntiochusIII
04-28-2006, 08:09
My God! You guys CARE about APs! :sweatdrop:
I have like, two next week, and I don't even think about even touching anything. "Who cares? Men aren't born equal, I'm above!" :laugh4:
...It will be a very painful day when I get my AP scores back. Anyway, what are the APs you people are taking?
On a side note: Alex[anderofmacedon], I doubt some of us who have to take the SATs are too worried if we have similar AP tests around the corner. The SATs, hard as they are, are really too easy compare to what AP exam tests I've taken so far...

I´m gonna go through 6 tests on German law in May. They take place within 9 days and every test lasts 5 hours. The possible subjects of the test can be anything that was teached in 4 years of university studies. :sweatdrop:

Not me. Exams are the best way to determine how much you really know. Instead of semester evaluations by the teacher, who girls like to suck up to, gives you grades.
In high school my yearly grades sucked, my exams rocked. In University im getting the best grades ive had my entire life. So now I know I got bad grades because the teachers didnt like me, and I didnt do my homework :p

gah, i hate exams, they are nothing but a memory test (and i have a very bad memory) i think they should have common-sense exams, or real-life exams, A* :laugh4:
thats said they are the best way to assess people without any byass from teachers etc. so i see no other option :2thumbsup:

I've got English Lit, Chem, History and Chem A-levels coming up, as well as three Advanced Extension Award papers. I'm not too worried-I got pretty near full marks at AS, so I've got a buffer I can eat into and still get As in all of them.
Unfortunately, due to a scheduling misfortune, I have an English Lit paper, two Chem papers, my History AEA paper-which is three hours long-and my Bio AEA paper...all on the same day! It works out to about 8 hours of exams, which I can't actually do in one day, so unless I can find some way to sort it out, I'm going to have to do them over two days, and stay at a teacher's house overnight to prevent me contacting anyone who has already done them.
Needless to say, I'm not best pleased about this.

I've got three physics papers and three latin papers (totalling six hours) in one day. Meh.
In all, I have 15 papers (for maths, latin, biology, chemistry and physics), most of them in one week. What joy.

Ugh. Due to my laziness only now, with one week to go, do I find that two of my exams conflict. Worse, the conflict exam for one of my Tuesday exams over laps my Wednesday exam. And the supposedly the time to get on the conflict exam for the Wednesday class is expired. So I am well and truely screwed.

Haudegen because 1) it was boring, 2) gave extremely dull job opportunities and 3) the crowd at law were uptight assholes, or people who 'wanted to work with human rights' and do NGO save-the-world-jobs.
Scruvy, no, exams represent what you learned during the curse of the semester. You write a treatise, and then you go up defending verbally.
BP you'd be suprised at what lucrative possibilities you have. And actually I don't study philosophy, but History of Ideas or Intellectual History, which is different than philosophy. I for one, am not concerned and Im quite convinced that I will get/make my dream job.
edy what has that got to do with hippie thinking?

Some Swedish papers, enough philosophy papers, possibly one German one - the damn teacher's not been around for a few weeks - and several thousands of words worth of Finnish papers: oh, the joy. And the exams? Not yet here, thankfully. But looming in the future, oh yes. Oooh yes.

You are the one that said "Drop out. Study philosophy.". You did not say study history of ideas.
I really wish I'd actually done work last year, and not done 4 AS levels in two weeks. I have to get some pretty good scores this summer...
Luckily I have worked this year, so it doesn't seem so hopeless.

Ah, first exam on Friday, Higher English, a Close Reading paper and thence 2 literature essays, on 2 of 15 or so unknown questions. I hope 2 fit Othello, Brave New World, or Church Going... that's all I'm learning for...
Well, wish me luck, I take the Advanced Placement Exam for Biology tommorow morning. I need atleast a 3 for college credit. I'm going to need the luck too.
