They're a metal (I think) band from the UK and the songs they make sound like video game music from the 80's.

Quite awesome, even though I'm unfamiliar with metal as a whole. Anyone heard of them? :inquisitive:

They are a power metal band and one of my fav's, I posted a thread here about two years ago here when I first heard them, because I was just blown away. Their mix of speed and solo's is immence and they are one of the hottest and best bands around at the moment. A breath of fresh air as well, truly unique and awesomely brilliant, you can't do much better than Dragonforce, they are after all simply Iron Maiden on speed!

If you like Dragonforce I suggest you try a band called Blind Guardian as well and Avenged Sevenfolds latest album City of Evil.

I'm not normally the biggest metal fan, but after listening to the sample JAG posted a while back, I had to go and buy their albums. It was just so ridiculously over-the-top I couldn't resist.

I went to see Avenged Sevenfold a few weeks back...rockin band and they did a cover of Pantera's 'walk' which was very cool.

I too have only recently heard Dragonforce...and Im impressed...its about time someone made some real 8 minute songs instead of this 3 minute rock-lite rubbish that fills the airwaves these days.

'Through the fire and flames' is a particulalry good tune...

I imagine that if Lord of the Rings had a metal soundtrack, these would be the guys to do it :laugh4:

That said, their style reminds me of the Transformers soundtrack...
