Hey everyone. This is my first post on these forums but I've browsed them before. On to my problem...

I've followed the instructions listed on the EB site on downloading the mod, but I've had many problems during the process. First of all, whenever I reinstall RTW it appears to be the 1.5 version. This, of course, is a problem because EB requires 1.2. I'm not sure how to "get rid of" 1.5, either. I'm not downloading BI, or using the Gold Edition of RTW, so I don't know why or how 1.5 keeps appearing. I completely uninstalled the game (twice) and searched for the 1.5 patch on my computer to no avail. Is there any way I can "overwrite" it or something?

Another thing...I've downloaded the 1.2 patch from numerous locations and installed it. Problem is, I have no idea if it's cancelling out the 1.5 or not. Then, I download the EB mod, then the 7.4 patch, like the instructions say.

Whenever I try loading the game, an EB screen pops up for a few seconds before a CTD occurs. I usually get the text:

Script Error in data/descr_stm_settlements.txt at line 304, column 1
Expected culture type, found nomad

Now, I have no idea what any of this means, but it's consistant. I opened the text file, and it appeared normal (not that I knew what I was looking for, the nomad text was there though).

What do you recommend? I still have the 1.2 patch, the EB mod, and the EB 7.4 patch downloaded onto my desktop. I was thinking about doing another complete uninstall, then downloading 1.2, making sure that it "cancels out" the 1.5 patch. If that works, I can move on. Again, the problem lies in the fact that I don't know how to get rid of the 1.5. So, I guess that's what I'm really asking for, but any help would be appreciated, especially on the script error.

PS: I hear the next patch will work with 1.5. Does anyone know a release date, or at least the general month they're shooting for? If it's soon, I might just wait. Again, thanks for your help in advance.

I think some folks have found a way to make 1.2 mods work on a 1.5 build, but we haven't tried this and we don't try to lead people into thinking it is possible. Still, I think others have gotten it to work somehow. We are currently working on finishing the 1.5 port, and then adding a bunch of new stuff to it for our next build (and we really don't have any release date in mind yet), but currently we'll just have to advise using a 1.2 build for installing the mod on.

This is about as detailed as I can get:

I don't know your level of computer/gaming sophistication, so I apologize in advance for the "noob" tone, but here's a detailed, step-by-step process that has solved the same problem for others: Link (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showpost.php?p=1123681&postcount=5)

If at any point in that process you have a problem, let us know when it occurred (that means starting up the game after each step to make sure it is working)
