probably sitting in the corner, not getting to watch tv, no allowance, those kind of minor things.

My girlfriend however, had to sit on her knees on a broomstick for a while as punishment, it hurt like hell she recalls, but she has a low tolerance for pain.
My mother, when she was still working in a school (well, the ones where you stay overnight) once locked a kid in the closet and 'forgot' about him for a few hours...

a whole week everyday detention.
They however made me have to do the garbage stuff in school for a whole while but I never really mind that. I amuse myself more doing that (while I secretly listened to my mp3-player) then I would during detention.

At home, that would be the terrifying threat of the belt from my raving mad Irish grandfather... A slap on the wrists from my parents was nothing compared to that...

At school, my current physics teacher drove me to insanity by refusing to accept the fundamental principles of logic, reason, mathematics, the English language and the Universe.
Also, the Rector (also somewhat lovingly called the Fuhrer(sp)) once called me up to his office because I complained about the fact I was not allowed to take Latin or Biology instead of Graphic Communication and clearly proved that I would fulfill the "Creative and Aesthetic" category provided by Her Brittanic Majesty's Inspectors of Education even without doing something as demeaning and tedious as Graphic Communication...

My dad made me smash my computer apart when I was 14 using some dinky hammer as punishment for spending his money on weed. Haven't touched any since! :laugh4:

Getting hit by a cane/ruler. Not thing enough to be a cane, not thick enough to be a ruler. Of course, when my parents were at work I snapped it and threw it out the window.

Just being grounded for a while when I was younger. I can't recall anything really awful.

100 pound fine, on top of the hospital bill, dry-cleaning bill and embarressment...

That, or being sent down from university...

Same here. And I'm being serious, my mom is like a foot shorter than I and my dad is just as tall as I am. I don't know if I intimidate them, but they don't give me punishments. They just give those "I'm dissapointed in you" type stuff.

...Come to think of it that works on me!:wall:

I wasn't allowed to start driving for a marking period because I got a bad report card... :wall: and then I got another bad one the next MP so my parents were pretty ticked.

Luckily I had a good one the next time else they probably would have never let me drive. I'd say it set me back about 5 months.

Usually when I do something wrong that actually has consequences (like breaking someone's bone, or getting a horrible grade, or something of that nature) I'm already so ashamed of myself that I don't need to be punished.

However, one of my teachers enjoys punishing people with detentions for the most trivial of reasons, such as yawning in class. It's funny, as long as it's not you. :laugh4:

10 years-old - Broke into a mailbox and trashed all the mail on the way home from school. Someone saw and told my old man. He went and collected all the shreds of the letters off the street. Then with him following ten feet behind me, I went to every single house, knocked on the door, and said "Hello, my name is Beirut and I stole your mail. Here's your letter back, five cents for the stamp and five cents for the envelope. My dad lent me the money and I have to work to pay him back. I'm very sorry and I'll never do it again."

14 years old - Two summer's work losing 2/3 of my salary to pay back my dad the money he had to pay after myself and two friends went on a vandalism spree in a chemical company warehouse. Was inches away from juvenile prison for that one.

Lay a broomstick on the floor, put your knees on it, sit for half an hour.

It isn't that bad of course, but I thought it was pretty cruel the first time she told me.

The worse for me was being slapped and clubbed by a teacher. Luckily, she was sexy and beautiful. Heck, even a smart kid pretended to have a bad grade and got hit by her. That was until she started to remember his grades. She called him a dirty boy. He looked emotionally hurt.

Somehow, when a beautiful woman treats me like dirt, I feel aroused. :tomato:

Your parents are either wussies or you don't need whupping. My mom is 5 foot 2, my brother and I have had several inches and a couple dozen pounds on her for the better part of 10 years and she's never been the least little bit intimedated by her. And believe you me my brother has tried. :laugh4:

When I really got out of line I used to get hit, but the one punishment that stood out from the others was what happened the day I swore in front of my mother and grandmother. Immediately afterwards I was led into the bathroom by my mother and instructed to put a bar of soap in my mouth and keep it there for the better part of a minute or so. A minute or two may not seem like a long time but at that young age it may as well have been an entire day. Obviously the physical pain of being spanked exceeds the horrid taste of a bar of soap but over time, the memory of that horrible taste and the lingering aftertaste still stays with me today. Blech!

A fine of $1000, because I tried smuggling weed into Norway, it got detected in the mail and we went to get it, the police ambushed us.

Spank across the legs with the belt. It hurts, but lately it's either the disappointment thing or grounding from the computer. I'm usually well behaved, so I don't have to worry about much.

I haven't really been punished for anything since I was twelve, I learn not to mess up but the worst punishment I had was being spanked with a smashball paddle. Now that I'm older when I mess up it only really affects me so there's no need for punishment.
