wtf?!? i clicked on an area near the shore of spain to offload my troops. guess what? somehow my fleet got stuck and now i can't get it to move (been tying for several turns now)! for some reason my fleet ran up a river and so after developing a battle-tested navy (by battling smaller, less experienced fleets), i can no longer get it to budge. :furious3:

worse, i can't disband it since you can only disband a fleet in its home port or something. so there it is, a little ways up a small river in spain, going nowhere and soaking up money without contributing to the julii war effort. bah!

has anyone else had a similar expeience? does anyone know how to fix this? :help:

Not sure if that bug was fixed in the most recent patch or not but at least theres a work around no matter what patch you have from my knowledge.

First of all try to update your game to patch 1.5 for RTW and if you have BI you want patch 1.6. You may want to finish your current campaign on the current patch and then update it just to ensure you have no problems although a saved game should not be affected by a patch.

To kill the bug select a port make sure it's the port and not a ship/fleet in the port, set its rally point to the stuck fleet and then the fleet should be movable. You may have to hit end turn once for the rally point to "unstuck" the ship. After that you should be good to go.

And then maybe throw that admiral in the gladitorial games for running the fleet aground.

yeah, i was thinking its probably a bug and now i want to kick myself in the ass for not installing the patch 1.5 i downloaded (got it BEFORE i installed rtw). thanks for the tip. :2thumbsup:

Well, I assume you let your troops out? If not, then I'd do that:sweatdrop:

I don't really know what to tell you, but it may be a good thing. It keeps control of that small region. Any enemy ships will be forced to attack it and they will be pre-occupied fighting that fleet.
