Don't have a link yet, but CNN is reporting he gets life in prison rather than the death penalty.
More to follow when it hits the web.

I don't support the death penalty but its hard not to want someone like this dead. Guess he'll have to wait a few years to get those 72 virgins. I guess atleast he's not going to get his martyrdom like he wanted. I have mixed emotions about this verdict.
Fine by me. He seemed too eager to be matyred anyhow. Now he gets to rot in prison for the rest of his days. I wouldn't be a bit suprised to learn that the jury gave him life because they also thought he wanted to be matryed.
The only shame is that prisons are a bit more harsh than they are currently.

I’ll bet he will be as popular as a child molester in prison.

I wonder what Bubba, Queen, Shorty and the rest of the guys in D-block will have to say about him joining them. I bet he doesn't last a month in prison. And would that kind of death count as martyrdom?

Looks like, from what CNN is reporting about the prison, he'll be locked up in solitary confinement for 23 hours a day, with only limited contact with other prisoners for the remaining hour.

DId you see the part where he claims America loses with the life sentence versus the death penality.
I wonder how he will feel about that after spending 5 years alone with only angry guards for company?
Will he take Jeffery D. way out and asked to be sent to the general population?
"I just wish it could have gone on the 12th, the 13th, the 14th, the 15th, the 16th, the 17th. We can go on and on," Moussaoui said. "Like they say, no pain, no gain."
I'm glad he gets to rot in jail, but I would put a bullet in his head myself if I had the chance.

I’ll bet he will be as popular as a child molester in prison.
With the large amount of Muslims in the prison population, he's going to be quite popular and a great recruiting tool.
I'm sure most people have heard that men in prison's who are child molestors or killed their family or family members usually get killed in prison right?
This happens only because of the men in the prison's who want to see their families, and can't believe that a man would kill their family or molest a child.
I hope he is tortured by those inmates, and get's castrated!!! :furious3:

I'm pretty proud about America after hearing about this. We're above these 7th Century Cockroaches and this is just another reminder of that (I know, I know, they won't notice).

Let him rot in prison. Don't give him the honour of a quick death.
I'm glad to say that the verdict is the correct one. We shouldn't have to reduce ourselves to their level by resorting to the death penalty.

Meh, I suddenly realise something.
When Zidane wins the world cup, he's French. When Moussaoui helps plot 9/11, he's Moroccan.
Am I a hypocrite?
For those who call football 'soccer': Zinedine Zidane is a Frenchmen of Algerian decent. One of the finest football players ever, he was a driving force behind France winning the European and world championship in the last decade.

No. I wouldn't consider that scumbag American if he was born in Virginia.

I'd give him the best medical treatment available (using pork derviatives) and then make him work as a pig herder.

I believe the American people should feel proud of their judicial system because of their verdict. What could be a more emotive issue, yet the jury deliberated carefully and on the evidence, and came to a verdict they thought was just.
This was the greatest humiliation of Moussaoui and his like possible, proving all their fevered nonsense about the USA to be utterly false. It proved free people will always triumph their values over the nihilists.
Death is easy for the fanatic. They understand unthinkng vengeance. He won't understand this, at all. In five years time, probably less, no-one will remember this man's name, there will be no glory, no martyrdom, just the endless tedium of a forgotten, wasted life.
He wanted to die, tried to die, but the jury took his twisted dreams away, and rubbed his nose in the power of a free people. He'll choke on that for the rest of his miserable life.

I doubt he will be mingling with the general population.
I prefer to keep characters like these alive in case they get starved for attention and start talking some more, even if most of it is crap. Didn't like McVeigh getting executed so quickly, it makes my tinfoil hat get all warm inside.

No no no, DD you got it all wrong. Its 72 Virginians, not 72 virgins.
I'm glad he got life, death would have been too fast. I sure hope Bubba makes those 1 hour fudge packing stints last. Hopefully by the time Moussaoui dies Bubba will have packed more Moroccan fudge then a german chocolate maker.

I've read somewhere that the 72 virgins might have been a mistranslation and they get 72 apples. I understand apples where pretty special in ancient Islamic society (referring to cities to be plundered as juicy apples and such).
Heaven is a fruit store
