Well, for starters, a generals retainers would likely not grab the barrel of the hot machinegun because -- at the least -- they've probably been trained in officer school rather than be picked because its one's uncle Fawquars cousin,

The other reason is because he is too busy playing GTA3, trying to make enough money to buy the grenade launcher so he can learn to shoot down helicopters someday, assuming he has guys with him to clear the jam in the launcher
