The Chivalry: Total War team proudly announces a public beta release for the early era of our mod - scheduled for May 20th 2006.
It will run with both R:TW 1.5 or BI 1.6

Chivalry: Total War will be the first total conversion mod with a different time-frame than the original R:TW - it will take you through the medieval ages, beginning in 1072, some time before the first crusade, and ending with the fall of Constantinople in 1452.
It is designed with the goal of a great gameplay, especially in multiplayer, while being as historically accurate as possible.
Unfortunately we don't have a lot of people working on the mod, which means that the beta will still be imperfect in a lot of areas and we couldn't include a lot of features that we'd liked to have. But you can help it to become better, by making suggestions, joining the team, creating a submod, or simply by encouraging us.

As a little appetizer, we made a last faction preview (and the first preview since Adherbal left our team): Bohemia (http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=50783)
Be sure to also check out this small interview that I gave the new upcoming total war modding site, totalwarmods.com: http://www.totalwarmods.com/interviews/index.html

Now that´s news :2thumbsup:

Even though it´s "only" the early era again, but a release in the first place is good enough news. Hopefully it really works with 1.5, lest I´ve got to get BI first...

It will be sad to have to wait for those wonderous late era units, but great news nonetheless:2thumbsup: .

Could the team consider putting in at least the models of one or two later era units as a sort of preview for the more enterprising who activate them?

Please:balloon2: .

You keep nagging us, eh ;)
There will be one or two in, but not many...

Yes, we do. And we´ll keep doing it.
Until you give them to us. In complete campaigns. With all the bells and whistles. On a silver platter. Preferably yesterday. ~;)

Failing that, a promise not letting all the fine models go to waste might do. Perhaps.

I just downloaded the game and it is sweet!! so i have been playing it like all today and i ran into a few problems, after about 30 battles the game crashes. and while trying to kill all my :skull: generals :skull: playing aragon i disbanded all my troops except my generals and used them to attack castile and then France. I couldent get myself killed when i auto resolved the battles!! is there anyway to fix that to make it fair for the ai (I was winning) 1/3 of the time *evil grin*:laugh4:
