It seem that normal members now sometimes get this problem too.

The problem is that thread starters don't show up as the person who started the thread, some other name is picked - randomly ? - and is shown as the starter, if this doesnt explain the problem yet, it will hopefully be clear at the end of this post.

Here are 2 links, one to the backroom itself, and another one to the thread ''There are some nice ones...''

The thread was started by Alexanderofmacedon, though it shows up in the backroom forum as started by Bopa the Magyar

That's it, if I see any other cases of this problem I'll post them here, I encourage others to do the same.

I'd say it's a bug...

Wouldn't know what such a feature would be good for.

Sorry, Dutch Guy, I was tossing off a little I.T. humor there. When something's broken and you don't want to fix it, you tell the user, "It's not a bug, it's a feature." Microsoft has made this saying quite famous.

I've seen this bug ( or feature for all the Lemur's ) some more in the last few days, as an example the ''soccer'' thread in the frontroom is now supposedly started by Ser. - however it wasn't.

This "feature" seems to manifest itself whenever an admin edits a post, i.e. when I edit one of my posts I will listed as thread starter (I noticed that when I edit another patron's post, he/she will be listed as thread starter).

Perhaps this "feature" is meant to make look us admins like more active participants :smug:

Well the feature that makes threads seem un-read if an admin posted in that thread also contributes to that look.

Yea, this happened to me. I started the Soccer thread and after a while it said that ser clegane started it. I also started the illegal immigration thread that now says that ser clegane started.
