I knew There were and are a buch of German immgrants (now German blood) in the hill country and in all of Texas for that matter but our very own German Dialect this begs the question Can we kick anty more ass? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Texas_German This Texans tend to be the most nationalsitic as well.

A german dialect of Texan? Or a Texan dialect of German? Either way it's a scary thought.
Maybe its a spanglish dialect of German. :dizzy2:

I am German - but I have visited Texas...
:inquisitive:
Seems pretty minor. A few anglicised words here or there doesn't qualify, in my mind, as a dialect particularly worthy of mention, but these kinds of things happen all the time.

Texas Wurstfest! (http://www.wurstfest.com/index.html)
Ya'll have got to do something about these immigrants. They speak foreign, fail to integrate, clutter up your roads, drive up your wages. This town, Münster, Texas (http://www.nortexinfo.net/gfest/), has already been overrun by them!
My surname is German and I once ate a Texan bar:

The article does say:
The dialect is near extinction, as it is now only spoken by a few elderly people.
In case no-one noticed.
[Perhaps you should take the lead in mourning
its loss by consuming obscene amounts of Wurst.]
