I'm wondering about the pros and cons with using 4 turns per year.

Is it complicated to use and does the game become more realistic by it? What are the advantages and the disadvantages?

Thanks

Wrong forum. This is a discussion about a mod and should go in the mod discussion forum.

I think four turns a year rock! but then again, I might be biased:wink:

Ok... so would you say it's worthwhile to use it in a mod? Do you have to do anything in the game while you play?

Ok, here's what happens, you can decide if they're good or bad features yourself:

Changes to gameplay:

Characters live for more turns, which means they can be developed more etc
Recruitment and travel times are more realistic - same number of turns, but a turn doesn't represent as much

Changes to atmosphere:
Well that speaks for itself I think - if you like the idea of 4 seasons to a year or months or whatever, you can do that.

Inconvinience:
You have to run the script whenever you load a game. This is done through the advisor.

Ok. Thanks.

I'll have to think about it. :2thumbsup:

Yeah, it no longer takes like 8 years to sail across the Mediterranean Sea. Much more realistic. And longer-living characters like Myddraal said. Lets you have your best generals for a much longer time. Allowing you to conquer much more with them and give them more retinues/ancillaries.
