To all those who, like me, despair at most of todays pro-wrestlers but love the "Attitude" era of WWE (formerly WWF) wrestling, then I bring you good, maybe even excellent news. One of the most famous Tag teams of the attitude era, D-Generation X (or DX for short) are booked to re-form at this year's Vengeance Pay-Per-View.

Wikipedia's article on the Famous Tag-team and the return theories http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/D-Generation_X

and the trailer signifying the return http://203.198.71.41/home/celine_ip/veng06rd1.wmv

I know some of you guys dont like today's wrestling, but for me this signifies the return of the attitude era, which was probably the best time for wrestling.
Just my two pence

I have a very good friend who was the north-American and European champion in the 70s and 80s. He wouldn't like it if I mentioned his name, as he's a very modest man. You are free to PM me if you want a link to his fans websites.

I don't think it's a tease, not if you have been watching RAW lately, the storyline seems to be leading up to HBK and HHH rebelling

yeah....WWE programing is on tv a month late over here...but I read the results in real time every week.....it definitely looks like were´re gonna have a DX vs. Macmahonism thing going (possibly even with Cena sidding with macmahon if he turns heel)

What´s really the question is how far can they go with this? DX was a lot more than just doing crotch chops and saying suck it, they did a lot of edgy stuff back in the day.....how far would Michaels be willing to go now that he is a born again christian is a big question.

Altough during is brief "heel turn" against Hogan he still showed that he can still cut some pretty funny edgy promos.....as well as the Kane match were he was referee a few weeks ago.

we´ll see how it turns out...

I´m still gonna mark out like hell tough :2thumbsup:

P.S.- take the belt out of Cena´s poser´s hands and put the King of Kings back on his throne already!

Yeah Cena siding with McMahon sounds plausable if you look at the Vengeance poster on the wiki article, Cena is Being /covered by the spraypainted DX, so maybe he's going to be a heel siding with McMahonism

I think Shawn being a born again Christian may help the storyline further, with Mcmahon proclaiming he is a god and mocking HBK's god, he will a)be ver heel for a very long time and
b) Possibly incite Shawn to do more against Vince, as the Chairman is Mocking God

Whatever happens, over the next year or so i can see WWE getting very exciting

I was actually raising the point to what people actually find entertaining about it. I used to watch a few years ago and I'd thought it had run it's course. But it appears there are people still following it.

:sorry:

I don't follow WWE much, but I would love to see a return to the Attitude era. If you ask me that was the high point of professional wrestling.

Unfortuanately it seems that Billy Gunn and Jesse James will not appear as they are under contract with TNA but X-Pac/Sean Waltman is wrestling as an independent and I find it unlikely that he'll be there.

As much as I like Shawn Micheals and HHH, without the New Age Outlaws and X-Pac, DX just can't be the same. I'm sure they'll find people to replace them, but it just won't be the same, and I doubt it would reach the same heights that DX did.

I know that the DX roster changed over time, but the NAO and X-Pac were just part of the core and without them it just can't be the same.

I remember 80s wrestling.

Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant, 'Hacksaw' Jim Duggan, Jake 'the Snake' Roberts. The Ultimate Warrior, Ravishing Rick Rude (:laugh4: ), Don 'the Dragon Steamboat', Bam Bam Bigelow, The Bushwhackers, The British Bulldogs, etc.

Got to disagree with you there.....

The best moments that DX ever had were during the original line-up , HBK + HHH CHYNA.....and CHYNA was just a bodyguard.....it was HBK and HHH that made the thing funny.
