This is a free turn-based online strategy massive multiplayer game (that's a mouthful :laugh4: ) I found a few weeks back:

Anyone else here heard of it? Play it? For the majority who haven't I'll give you a summary of the game:

Basically the goal of the game is world domination. You controll a 14th century nation which starts out with only a single province. Through diplomacy, conquest, and a little luck you expand and create a mighty empire. Typically turns are 24 hours (although you can set the turn time to anything from 6 hours to a week), in this time you can log onto AO, make your orders (move stuff, attack stuff, build ships, fortify this that, diplomacy, etc...), click end turn and log off. So you can be playing 10 games at the same time so long as you log on sometime every day and perform your orders. Here's a screenshot:

I might be interested, but can you play in any part of the world, or just the Middle East?

Hmm, that sounds like a nice concept. I like the idea of being able to make my turn in any time of the day, instead of playing at the same time as everyone else. I presume though, there's a particular time of day the system "ticks over" and a new playing day begins?

No problem. :2thumbsup:

Well currently the map is basically the same area of the world as Rome: Total War's is. However there are many more maps in developement so there should be some interesting new scenarios on the horizon such as Middle earth, new atlantis, an England map, etc... Here's a screenshot that shows the entire map:

Yea there is. Personally I'd recommend sticking to 16+ hour turns depending on how often you can log on. I've been doing this and haven't missed any turns so far since I stopped joining 6 hour games. (How do people play 6 hour games? Atleast one turn goes on while they are asleep! :laugh4: )

Thanks, but's that not quite what I meant. I mean, there must be a particular time of day that the clock ticks over into a new turn? I was just wondering what that time might be - expressed in Greenwhich Mean Time, say.

BTW You mentioned 6 hour and 16 hour turns - I think one turn every 24 hours would suit me fine. Do they have 24-hour turn games?

Oh I think I see what you mean. Basically it's whenever the creator of the game chooses to start it. Then XXX hours later it will tick over to a new turn. And then the same XXX hours after that it ticks into turn 3 etc...

Yea infact most games use 24-hour turn cycles.
