Interesting sample! I recall a Timothy Zahn excerpt in the back of Star Wars novel that had a similar feel to it, but with less cultural depth than this.
I'd like to see a nice chunk of background history and stuff now.

Quite amazing to see the Nationstates rp, having been finished for years, being taken this far. I know some history of your nation but i admit i've forgotten, please continue!

Sorry about the wait people, give it a few more days and I will have another chapter in here...

There is no rush SF, I believe i tested my readers patience when writing The Second Dark Age. Not on purpose mind you! Yet the point is, take your time. Better to have a finely tuned product than a rushed piece.

You might think it's tough going, but I think your persistence is rewarded. You're not giving too much away, the identity and motives of the enemy remain mysterious and there's lots of other stuff in there to make the reader think 'I want to know more'. I'm currently not writing anything much at the moment, total writer's block!
So, is some kind of revelation imminent?...the public demand more! Hopefully Thor will get 'up close and personal' soon as well.
I like the use of mythical names too, the AEsir ship being named after Freyr's famous ship.

I can only second Matteus' comments. It may lack a bit in novelty, but that is not necessarily a bad thing, and the description is quite good.

Good job, Sigurd.

Is this story going to be continued? I am very curious about what is going on.

Sorry about this.

The story has a red thread and I have the drafts of 3 more chapters on my laptop. I am however not a writer and get easily stuck when writing as I currently am in the chapter following the last I this thread.
I have not given up on it, yet. There have been some IRQ's in my life lately and writing this demand more than just an hour of free time a day.

As soon as I can sit down with no interrupts, focus on the task at hand, the chapters will form and inhabit a body
