I was banned permanently from a forum for spamming it when I was younger (like 12 y/o). I am currently on a 2 week ban from forums.civfanatics.com for (supposedly) trolling:inquisitive:, flaming:inquisitive:, failure to respect the authority of the moderators, creating mulitple accounts and argueing with other users:oops:. Recently I also got a ban warning from another forum for being negative (no kidding). But seriously I am a mild person and I don't intentionally try to get banned, its just sometimes when I have bad days I am suddenly negative. I also hate it when I'm debating with someone and they contradict them selves and generally act like hypocrates. Some people just know how to wind me up.

I hope not to have to engage in any serious debating here. Because sooner or later someone's going to do something that really annoys me, which will result in me really getting mad!

So, have you ever been banned/threatened with a ban before?

I got banned from this forum. It's a long story, and I probably shouldn't go into too much detail, but it had to do with a Mod in a generous mood and my insatiable curiosity. I wanted to see what a ban looked like. 'Nuff said. Took a while to repair after the deed was done.

There is a certain amount of satisfaction in getting banned. I dunno why...but it kind of neutralises the whole idea of being punished.

lol yeah.. it funny, I would be on .net,and I get ban like,3 days later,come back 2 weeks,get ban 3 days later,or 1,lol.. then I stay for 2 months, mabye 2 1/2 Months, but I spam like, 587 posts in a 2- 2 1/2 month time span,so they ban me then,and ban me one more time after that when I tried to come back,lol..

Not even a warning here. I normally avoid outright personal attacks. I make attacks, but usually on statements and arguments or vaguely-defined groups of outside people (that may or may not include forumers by association).

If I respect the forumer, I don't want to attack them; if I don't respect her/him, it's not worth my effort—and they don't need my help to look like an idiot anyway.

Once, like three years ago. This really annoying guy had a forum, only like 10 active members or so, so meh...just spammed it because he annoyed me. The guy laugh now looking back :D (but he couldn't actually ban me, I used to have an IP that changed, I hadn't d/ld a proxy or anything, it just...changed, so an IP ban didn't work :P)

But nowadays I'm a nice little forumer :)

i guess i also hold the record for most warnings for a single post. 6 for one post and barely anyone read it :S

Oh and Stranger, 6 warning points for one post is small potatoes. I gave some guy who was posting Bin Laden speeches in the EH 15 points for the one post once.

Nope. But the mods have PM'd me a couple of times to let me know I was sailing a tad too close to the wind. Although they were too polite to say a ban was imminent, the threat was implied. They're a good bunch on here, they don't just wade in with the big stick. So, not a bad record for six years, especially as I can be a little, how can I say, 'abrasive', 'annoying', 'sarcastic', etc.

yes, from two.

my first was a gaming board called Pharaoh Heaven. if you think this gaming board's rules are too soft and pollyanna, you should have seen theirs.

the second was politics board. i've been banned there a few times, all temp bans, however. i continue to operate there and the risk of another banning is always present.
You were banned from a HG aub site? What the hell did you do, post warez? That's about all they hand out bans for. That and constant flamming.

About some Armenian and pro-American stuff, I was emotionally triggered and was driving the speech on the person rather than the approaches. I had one major and one minor warning once. However, as I always stated before as well, the moderator staff -of which I'm proud of being one as a rookie- has a great deal of ability to understand and shift manners the way it is accustomed here. :bow:

I was permenantly banned from a Chicago White Sox message board (American baseball team). I am a huge White Sox fan and last year I was in a fit of anger after the Sox lost two in a row to the Detroit Tigers so I said I 'hated' the team. This got me branded as a troll and I was axed. I still frequent that board now, it's just I cannot post and I have no current desire to make a new account.

I received a sort of unofficial warning here mid way through last year. This was probably deserved, because I was ranting against some of our resident national socialists in the back room. I should have known better. :2thumbsup:

I've been permanently banned at a particular PC hardware forum, because I criticised their new main theme of collecting a particular type of old pc hardware and posting up hundreds of pictures of their hardware and themselves going to collecting meetings.

Got a warning once. It was kinda funny, because some new guy walked into the forum and started an "America Roxors OMG!1!11" thread that sounded like it was written by a thirteen-year old. I pointed this out to him rather bluntly, apparently too bluntly, and got a warning, even though the mod agreed with my points. Just not the execution.

I'm currently banned for 100 days from some forum i got bored of and trashed (i spammed it up with links to meatspin and tubgirl) and me and 30 other people are banned for a week from some other place for plotting a website invasion. We were their best and brightest, and they shot us down with their ban-cannons.

Yes, from heavengames Rome Total War Forums. I was banned temporarily, for about a month. But even during my ban, I created multiple accounts where I er, kinda insult one of the moderator by calling him a moron.

To add injury to the insult, I call him a moron by using an account name "dratsab", which one of the other forum members automatically decode it as "Bastard" if read backwards. So my ban got increase for another month, more or less.

I did a lot of stupid stuff at the beginning of my ban like e-mailing the mods and stuff like that. That's when I joined this forum. My ban got lifted something in November but after that, I rarely go back to this forum cause the Org is now my home.

Another note, that was my very first ban and hopefully the last.

Another note, I have 1 warning point for a minor offense (too many vulgarities in a post) about 3 weeks ago from Ser Clegane.

back in my sherdogging days, i took part in an organized raid of another forum.. it was supposed to be a forum of teens talkig about their sexual experiences and problems, but my fellow sherdoggers and i postulated that it was, in fact, a forum dominated by pedophiles. so we raided it and berated of all the pedophiles who pretended to be 13 yr/old girls. dirk nowitzki was mentioned on more than one occaision, iirc.. not sure why..

i was perma-banned from the teen site after about 2 days. which was longer than the others. i am more subtle than most sherdoggers. i am still in good standing with sherdog.

Stranger also spams (and I assume he gets warned every now and then) but not like you do. Take the "where did you get your name from?" thread - you posted more then 5 (?) times the same info. And while Stranger is Dutch, he still manages to use better grammar and spelling then you do.

That's harsh, but if you keep this up you'll find yourself on the wrong end of the banstick. Especially if you do stuff on the org like what you just described.

My Clan BHC lost in CWC,so I liked to visit the site still,so this guy was threating me the other day to report me to Tomi and get me kicked out of CWC because the guy can't read (or understand since he from China) the Name of my game,which was a BHC tryout,so,in a Prank, I Deleted ALL of the RTW/BI Tournment Threads and half of the Sign up Threads and a few of the Score Threads and now I got a lifetime Ban,lol..

Nothing funny about that. Your actions have caused a lot of problems to all other participating clans and moderators. The fact that you find what you did funny is good proof of your stupidity. :no:
