Infinity, but some say it's not a number. Zero is quite interesting too. But I like a variable like x much more than the actual numbers it might stand for, because x might refer to any number, so I don't have to choose a favorite number.

x = φ | x € (R\Q)
x = 1/2 | x € (Q\Z)
x = -1 | x € (Z\N)
x = 385 | x € (N)
385 is somehow a subconsciuosly remarkable number for me: If I try to come up with a random number with three or more digits, 385 is bound to show up, with the number numbers probably in that order, though it has some variation. 7 will also spring up at some point alongside those three numbers.
Other favourites: 1/(1+1/(1+1/(1+1/(...))))

I'm having a hard time choosing between pi and phi.
Legio: What kind of infinity? Some are more infinitely large than others, some are infinitely small.

Positive or negative infinity works well for me. Or a vector with all values being infinity. Or an n-dimensional matrix where are values are infinity, and guess what n=infinity.
Also I like all numbers contained withing the sets of the set of all sets that don't contain themselves.

phi !
we're running out of well known irrational numbers here :oops:
My favourite number is whatever age I am at the time, at the moment that is 17.
However I am also a great fan of the number 89, which is the year I was born.

Well nobody's mentioned that other irrational number...

I don't really have a favorite number anymore.
I'm going to go with 27. Why? I have no idea. Its just appealing to me. As is the number 11. My jersey number for my soccer team.

The number 2. Cause I'm the second child in my family and I just like 2.
2 is a prime number
2 is an even number
2 is part of the Fibonacci Sequence (the sequence found in the whole universe)
2 is the only number in the number system that has this special property:
2 + 2 = 4
2 * 2 = 4
2 ^ 2 = 4 (thanks to doc_bean for pointing that out)
So yep, 2 is my number. Follow closely by 1.

3. 2^ 2 = 4

Not true Chuck Norris counted to infinity twice.
My favorite number is 7 just because it was the number I wore in little league baseball.

I agree with littlelostboy:
2
but for different reasons.
1 is obvious. I am 1. But if 2 is possible - something not I, but also existing - that implies all other numbers and choices and possibilities, and also distinguishes and helps define '1'.
Zero is interesting and useful, but I don't really comprehend it (it's like radio & TV for me: just because I don't 'get it' how images and sound can be sucked out of thin air and shown to me, doesn't mean I can't use it).

The prime number 71551 is also quite nice, but the non-prime 715517 is a bit better.
