Hey all,

I've bought and played all of the Hitman games over the years and have been very pleased with them all, I love 'em.
I just this minute ordered Hitman: Bloody Money from Amazon and would just like anyone who's got it opinions on the game. Sure I've read reviews etc. from sites but I don't 100% trust these, I'd rather get your guys opinions or reviews. :2thumbsup:

Thanks,
- Taurus

YAAAAAAY you have made an excellent purchase, I was instantly hooked and completed the game within 4 days of purchase. I am not saying it is short however, there are a large number and variety of levels, with excellent senses of place and character. The replay factor is also great, with a huge number of ways to complete each mission, with a possibility for making most look like "accidents"- Particular highlight is replacing an actor's stage gun with a real one then dropping a chandelier on his friends head!

Talk about an ending as well...

Don't worry, i''m sure you won't be dissapointed

I'm still working on Hitman 2: Silent Assassin. By the ways, I want Blood Money, but I don't know which version to get. I bought the other two for X-box, and will probably get an x-box 360 as soon as the PS3 releases (drop price). My PC can definantly handle it though.

Thanks for your replies guys.

I couldn't help but read your spoiler Masy and can't wait to do this, thanks.

That's one thing I've always liked about the Hitman series too, it's replay factor, I still find myself playing Hitman 1, 2 and 3 after all these years/months. Great games, I hope this one doesn't dissapoint and by the looks of things it won't.

Cheers.

Get PC, you'll be surprised how optimised the game is. even crap computers can run mardi gras (the level with a ton of people) so well.

I heard about Hitman from a friend yesterday and amazon seems to have good reviews for it. If I want to try and get Hitman, which would you advise me to get first?

All are quite good IMO. The first is actually the most difficult of them - getting discovered and into a gunfight means almost certain death. The second and third are easier if you get discovered, but more difficult to do perfect - you want that silent assassin ranking :2thumbsup: The third was more logical sneaking than the second IMO, because the second had too much sneaking while the other had more problem solving by infiltrating and other things. About the fourth I don't know because I haven't got it yet. Btw - how is the shooting in Hitman4? Have they made open gunfight hard again like in Hitman1? How much puzzle and how much sneaking is there? Hitman3 style or Hitman2 style?

There is a lot of shooting, and it's all about being overpowered by sheer numbers, but it also allows more refined play but not on your first go, you would have to counter trial and error with exorbitant quiksaving which isn't much fun. The game is great, more like the second then the first (haven't played contracts), some of the missions, especially one at a disco which is actually filled to the roof with NPC's, are just amazing. And oh boy the music, pure class.

Love the Hitman games, I am just playing through Contracts at the moment.
I want BM as well but there seem to be trouble with it running on Geforce FX cards, so untill they fix that I'm waiting it out!

Having only previously bought the first game in the series, I recently bought
Blood Money, to find that it barely runs on my machine. Wouldn't say my
specifications are particularly low at all, so slightly displeased.

What? The demo does't run well on my PC. I had to turn dow graphics all the way for it to be playable. I looked even worse then Silent Assassine. Hmph. Pity I don't know what the specs are. vid card is a now dated Nvidia 5700 something with I think 128 MB of ram.

A very good game, alot better than the previous titles. I had issues with my Geforce FX card with I upgraded and now the game runs brill.

the FX 5xxx cards are known to have problems, your best bet is to upgrade to the 6xxx cards, most preferably the 6800 or 6600.

I hear the Playstation 2 version is pretty much optimised and the developers are extremely pleased with it, if any playstation owners are present consider trying it on the PS2. Though it uses a different render engine due to the PS2's outdated hardware, but it still runs great.

And it always has to be that causing the problems. Had guessed as much, but
hoped it wasn't the case.

...it finally arrived today. Just played the first training level so far but already I can tell I'm going to love this game just as much as I did the previous titles. Now I'm off to assassinate the Delgado's.

Wow, just finished the mission in the therapy centre. This game is awesome even better than the previous ones. Loved the actor assassination level with the prop gun incident and the chandeler shortly following this. :laugh4:
...anyway I'm going back on it. :creep:

Find the drainpipe...

Hehe, yeah found that one after some searching around.

Hitman, Silent Assasin and Contracts are all pretty good games. I haven't played Blood Money yet.
One thing to keep in mind is that the first game will only run on Windows 95/98.

I just found two pretty cool achievements to unlock.
For all you Gamerscore whores:

Kill exactly 47 people.

Kill everyone silently, and you will get a secret rating. I reccomend using the map Vintage Year.

I've just finished the Mardi Gras level and am now on the level in the playboy estate.

I've also got a theory, I think it's possible to kill everyone on the map in any level without raising any alarms etc. just starting with your standard starting equipment. Why you'd want to do that I don't know but, meh.

Kill everyone with the fibre wire for the rating Pianoman. (works pretty well in the "A New Life" level.)

I did this in Vintage years to get the rating "Garroteer"

hehe, nice. I'm gonna try that, but I'd assume it'd be a bit harder on the "Murder of the Crows". ~;)

The mindless NPCs in that level don't count as kills if you shoot them, i think the developers reasoning was becuase there was no AI and they were considered as objects rather than actual civilians.

Unfortunatly, theres not enough ammo in the level to kill all of them, and you cannot fiber wire them. :(
