Hi all,
I've just made my own version of the battle of Cannae as a 4 vs 4 battle, with the following setup:
- 4 roman families, each with a legion (velite, hastati, principe & reduced triarii line, actually a double consulary legion), left & right flank legion also have cavalry
- Hannibal (Light Iberians & slingers in the center), Hasdrubal (Carthaginian heavy cav on left flank & sacred band inf. on both flanks), Maharbal (top notch numidian cav, right flank) & a Gaul ally (Cavalry on left flank & heavy inf on both flanks).
Both armies are lined up opposite of each other, anchored ont he river.
In AI the battle resolves as a Cartaghinian victory, but its actually total mayhem.
Could be nice to see how a 4vs4 MP battle ends up. Any one interested, then I'll host i tomorrow... Can I just start up a home-made historical battle, or do i have to send the battle to the participants first?
grtz
