"Elite special forces troops being dropped behind enemy lines on covert missions are to ditch their traditional parachutes in favour of strap-on stealth wings."

Yesss. I can't wait for the inevitable step to bring giant robots into the world's militaries. We're getting there.

I was really annoyed when I read about this thing.

Suddenly motorbikes are only the second coolest mode of transport on the planet. And, a personal gripe of mine, they STILL have internal combustion engines. Come ON people, is this the 21st century or not?

(OT, a german engineer built a rocket powered bike back in the 1930s. It, err, didn't catch on.)

haven't they been working on these kind of things since the 30s ? So it finally paid off, who'd have thought...

Maybe they're already here...

One day everyone will be fighting from within the big mechas of various sizes and colours. And a few of them would actually be gigantic humans.

Japan will start a third Sino-Japanese war and be victorious! 'Cause they have better robots!!ichi111!1

I wonder when the first Terminator suits will be released.

Oops, thought you were talking about Batwoman coming out of the closet - saw in Newsweek where DC made her a lesbian.

As to the military and their toys, when and how will such a thing ever truely be useful? And, robots? We got them (not giant ones, but tactical ones), even got guns that shoot around corners (I understand the Germans had one in WWII, that didn't work to hot) with accuracy.

I thought you meant Adam West was finally publicly proclaiming his homosexuality.

I disagree. They remain the coolest. These guys may soar, but bikers don't get sucked into jet engines. And besides, you don't need a big ole plane to ride a motorbike.

I don't know Goofy, I read something somewhere that said Mr. West enjoyed the heterosexual advantages of '60s stardom like a demon.
