Its summer time, the sun is shining, that means its ice-cream time! :2thumbsup:
I have a really weakness for ice-cream at this time of year, just before I go to bed, when Mrs Suribachi is upstairs brushing her teeth, I often tend to slip into the kitchen and have a quick spoon-full or 2 of ice cream, Homer Simpson stlye :laugh4:
Mint Choc Chip of course :2thumbsup:

Everything Chocolate from Roberto's Ice Cream parlour, Port Erin, IOM.
Belgian Chocolate Ice Cream, Chocolate wafer cone, Chocolate sprinkles, chocolate sauce and a chocolate flake....
That there is the sole reason anyone would want to come to the Isle of Man

I like all kinds of ice cream with hot chocolate sauce or a dash of Milo (coca) powder on it.

Cookie dough is the best flavour in my opinion, followed by Chocolate and Caramell.

Well as I have yet to come accross the flavour here in Holland, the free translation would be ''koekjes deeg''.
Which, however, doesn't give the flavour the credit which is deserves in my opinion., as it doesn't sound as good as it tastes ~:)

I think Ben & Jerrys do it Mith, if they sell that wherever you're from.
Can I also give a big shout-out for Pistachio ice-cream [Homer Drool]
BTW, I had 2 Cornetto's before lunch today, does that make me a bad person?

Something fruity...
#1 cookie dough
#2 vanilla
i've tried various ben and jerry flavors and don't like them at all. i don't get why they're so popular.

So cookiedough is an official flavour ?
Where, is it only from the B&J brand ?

Nah, you can buy it in the grocery store.
My favorite is Black Raspberry Chip from Graeter's.

Honeycomb ice cream made with thick, Devonshire clotted cream.
Mmmm.... :nice:
I once went to Nice in France, where in the old town they had this huge ice cream place, and when I say huge, the ice cream bar was about 15 yards long! They had everything, from nougat, to Mars bar, Grand Marnier, rose petal, even spinach and tomato!
Nardini's Vaniila from largs is teh best ice cream, but can we expand this to all summer-esque treats? If so, Orange Maid Ice lollies and Hagen Daz (sp) Rasberry Sorbet (where on earth has it gone!?!).

Real Italian ice-cream!
Just to walk along virtually any street in say, Rome for example, and stroll into a gelateria and marvel at the galaxy of delicious ice-creams. Mama-Mia! :2thumbsup: Real ingredients, real flavours, the real thing! Then you come back to the UK and realise what crap we are being palmed-off with.
Probably pistacchio.

Either cookies and cream or chocolate fudge chunk.
I don't know it's too hard to chose. There's really no ice cream I dislike.

Very true, at the supermaket down the road they just opened up a counter selling hand made ice cream. I had a little tub full of sumptuous chocolate and another flavour called latte. Delicious....

Ice cream, my only weakness... :shame:
I tend to enjoy any kinds of ice cream but I must say that Ben & Jerrys is just great.
I also like ice lollies, do they come into it? And the ice cream chocolate bars, they're cool. Like Mars and Snickers.
Cookie Dough flavour, btw.

Amaretto beats all ice cream. In fact, it beats all other desserts (except hash brownies, but that's a different matter entirely.)

Ice cream is my one big weakness. I'm to the point I've got to have some every day. I'm like Mount Suribachi - some right before bedtime is my usual fix.
As for flavour, it is a tough call, but my favourite is probably chocolate peanut butter - veins of frozen peanut butter meandering through chocolate ice cream.
Ice cream makes the world a better place to be. :2thumbsup:

Ben and Jerrys, Chunky Monkey. :2thumbsup:
I'm also a fan of mint chocolate chip.

Vanilla done well beats all else, especially with a nice cigar. Also, there is no substitute for real vanilla; if it's got the specks, then it at least knows enough to imitate real vanilla.

I can't pick a "favorite," but some of my regulars are pistacchio (Hagen Daz), white chocolate raspberry truffle (Godiva), Raspberry Vanilla Swirl (Hagen Daz frozen yogurt, with champagne and Bach on a Sunday morning), Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough (Ben and Jerry's is better in my mind than Hagen Daz on this one), and Lemon Ice (Double Rainbow). A recent discovery is Hagen Daz Creme Brulee --very rich and yummy.
Dang it, I didn't pick up anything for tonight ... bad timing on this thread!

Coffee Heath Bar Crunch, by Ben&Jerries of course. Gotta love ice-cream from my home-state.

Mint is the best flavour. Chocolate isn't bad either. Vanilla is a waste of money.
PS. I'm eating ice-cream right now (yes, right now) and loving it :nice:

Ahh, brings back memories of a school skiing trip to Italy about 15 years ago....one night they gave us Lemon Sorbet for pudding......oh my oh my, I thought I'd died and gone to heaven! I know its technically not Ice Cream, but its close enough :2thumbsup:
Mind you, that was the same hotel that gave us all food poisoning! Ever been sick 6 times in one hour whilst walking round Venice? Still, got me a couple of days off school when we got back :laugh4:
