I was playing one of the only games I like from Nintendo with my friends the other day. It was called Super Mario Strikers. It's a soccer game and it's actually quite fun.

We were playing through some cup matches to win trophies and I started to realize a couple things. Now, if any of this is true, then I don't care either way, but it just seemed a bit funny coming from a company that in my mind, would be considered a family company.

First of all, what is up with the mushrooms. Of all the vegatables and all the foods they could have used, they decided to use mushrooms. Second after Peach scores she runs to the camera, licks her finger and then rubs her butt. Lasty I noticed when Waluigi scores he does something that's quite appalling. He takes his hands and makes the "suck it" gesture. My friend and I die laughing everytime we see it. :2thumbsup:

Obviously the mushrooms are actually Magic Mushrooms which shows why the Mario Bros. are so messed up... As they are "supposibly" from Brooklyn...

It's just strange that a Japanese company comes up with a pair of Italian-style plumbers as their flagship mascot, who jump on enemies to destroy them and save Toadstool Kingdom.

Some drugs involved?:dizzy2:

They didn't invent Mario, before nintendo there were already handheld games starring Mario and Donkey Kong.

Nintendo made Donkey Kong (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donkey_Kong_%28arcade_game%29) and Mario was orginally called Jumpman.

True, but Donkey Kong is based on the legendary King Kong.

True, but Donkey Kong is based on the legendary King Kong.

Not quite true as Universal lost millions in a court case trying to prove just that.

From the link above:

On 4 October 1984, however, the court upheld the previous verdict.

Nintendo and its licensees filed counterclaims against Universal. On 20 May 1985, Judge Sweet awarded Nintendo $1.8 million for legal fees, lost revenues, and other expenses.

Lawyers were cheap in 84 & 85.

Those were the days before the infamous "Chewbacca Defense" became common-place. Against such a defense, legal prices have been forced to rise.
