FEMA hurricane cards bought jewelry, erotica

The GAO uncovered records showing that $1,000 from a FEMA debit card went to a Houston divorce lawyer; $600 was spent in a strip club and $400 was spent on "adult erotica products," all of which auditors concluded were "not necessary to satisfy legitimate disaster needs."

The cause was apparently peopel lying about their assets etc.

You can take the person out of New Orleans, but you can't take the New Orleans out of the person. :2thumbsup:

In a report I heard on the radio, there was even one person who used $36000 in FEMA money for a sex change operation. The hurricaine must have wiped out his sexual identity. :inquisitive:

Maybe he thought he would be saved earlier if he was a hot chick. Come to think of it, juwels help as well.

Another story: New Orleans doesn't need houses anyway
http://www.democracynow.org/article.pl?sid=06/06/20/142210
(by the looks of it the site is horroribly biased, but I got it from another forum and I'm to lazy to search for another article)

5.000 public housing units are getting demolished while 200.000 people still have no permanent home yet.
After Katrina, everytime I heard the song "House of the rising sun" and after the beginning there is a house in New Orleans I added "not anymore!"
Now I'll start doing that again ~D

The majority of the 200,000 have found a new host to suck the life out of. As if we haven't wasted enough money over the past 50 years on welfare for these parasites, now they're living it up at everyone else's expense. I remember when everyone got pissed at what Barbara Bush said about the "victims" of Katrina, looks like she's more and more right everyday these reports come out of the massive fraud these people are involved in. Katrina WAS the best thing to happen to a lot of these people.
