WARNING- you have to know a great deal of history to know what im talking about in this thread-

Anyway. Iv noticed that RTW has done a bit of history combing. Iv seen old patrician names all over. Drusus, servillius, cornelius, capeio, and so and so on. Anyone else notice this?

....Since only patricians were generals back then, this is one thing historically RTW got right.

Drusus Magnus

What I noticed, is that there's a WRE diplomat in Gaul in BI called Magnus Drusus ! That's cool, I've been using this name since I began playing Age of Empires II some years ago, since Magnus means the great and Drusus is the closest latin name to resemble my own. Uh, sorry that's not really relevant, but, yay!

Drusus was the tribune of the plebs that legislated for citazenship for all italians. He came very very close to it before he got assasinated (think phillipus did it) and because the italians didnt get the much vaunted roman citazenship, they rebelled. The italians tried to get a independant state but were put down by marius and sulla ruthlessly.

Wait wait...a tribune of the plebs has to be a plebian right? So that means Drusus isn't a patrician name.

Emperor Nero was also called Drusus, I believe.
