Same team Co-op mode?

Is there or will there ever be a coop mode that lets two players play on the same team?

I'm thinking it's impossible... or is it?

The resulting havoc would be delightful to watch.

Of course, if you actually want a proper battle, it's a bad idea. Simpler just to have two players using the same faction on the same team.

By the way, I'm talking about battles. If you want a multiplayer campaign, I guess you could manually copy and paste the savegames and pass it to your friend.

Not really havoc. Actually, I think it is a good idea, and proves to find more challenge for teams to co-operate together. (But then.. How can one control more than 20 units? And, after some thought, it will make it easier, because one person with one mind is easier to manage than 4 different ones)

I play a lot of LAN. I play online every other week or so. But when I do play LAN we always want more armies with better performance. So I was figuring wouldn't it be great if we could have played in one army instead of using up another slot.

Maybe then the game would run better for us. Then maybe we wouldn't have to wait for about one thousand or so units to die off so that performance gets better. Which is exactly what happens to us.

About creating havoc, I could see how this could happen too.
