in one of the most surreal incidents of the World Cup so far, stadium officials in Stuttgart made the supporters take their trousers off - leaving many of them to watch Holland's 2-1 victory in their underpants.
"They put our trousers in the bin," said an aggrieved Peer Swinkels

We must defeat these multinationals who want to get their hands on our trousers. My suggestion: next time go commando.

That's just pants.

So what next? Forcing people who attend matches to drink that ureic acid look-a-like Budweiser? Cramming Big Macs (TM) down their throats.

The worlds gone mad, mad I tells ya!!

So if I go to a WC football match wearing a t-shirt with a brand that doesn't sponsor the WC, do I have to take it off as well?

Pittyful decision by FIFA.

Wow, that's weird, and... funny. :laugh4: But I won't be laughing if I was the one forced to take off my pants.

Where are the hooligans when you need them?

Let's start a revolution, my fellow proletariats! The corporates have gone too far this time: they dare mess with the football spirit!

It's even worse with the poor kid who got suspended in that side story (Coke vs Pepsi). Such an absurd, utterly corrupted decision.

Notice:

Totalwar.Org will now be port scanning and deleting the Hard Drives of all visiting members who have any other game sites on their Internet History list.

If this does not suffice in halting the egregious behaviour, we will find out where you live, take your TV, kick your dog, and eat your dinner.

You have been warned!

I'm in the clear then, this is the only game site I visit. :sweatdrop:

I take it you're joking about the "corporates" since they aren't the ones that made them depant. I agree about the hooligans; if these were English fans they either wouldn't stand for it or they would be wearing the logo on their trousers, boxers, and arse. Let's see them de-arse someone.

Of course, FIFA is to blame for this fanaticism and yes--the hooligans should've been there. And they weren't there. A bunch of wild boorish cowards they are, fighting among themselves, causing trouble, and when somebody's going fanatical against Football fans? Nowhere to be found.

No-one's gonna be kicking my dog! But you can have my food and TV. I cooked the food (badly grilled hotdogs, yay!) and the TV is older than I am.

On topic, this is despicable.

It's all about money. Now think if FIFA is willing to do that, how much would it take in kickbacks to let a few drug cheats slide, for refs to be bought, for athletes to bet against their own teams... afterall protecting a sponsor is only small fry compared with the amount of money riding in betting in the game and the amount of money a player can get by getting their own sponsor.

That's stupid. People can't wear clothing with a logo on it? Most people around here don't own clothing that doesn't bear a logo or brand name.
