It is now my mission in life to become one of the majestic order of human beings professionally called the Known Hooligans. For those of you blissfully ignorant as I was until recently, there exists a class of people that the cops are on the lookout for at all the world cup games. for example, in the poland/germany game, there were polish cops alongside the german security. the polish cops would point out Know polish Hooligans, and the germans would arrest them to prevent them from causing a ruckus. and i think that for every match there are correspondent cops from the playing nations who point out to the german cops who the Known Hooligans from their country are, and the germans bar them from entering. the english upped the ante a day or two ago, by causing a disturbance in stuttgart where i believe several hundred of them were added to that august body. So one can become a member of the Known Hooligans even during the middle of the World Cup!! so remember, anybody can be a hooligan, but it takes a certain someone special to get their mug shot splashed across interpol and become a Known Hooligan.
