I was curious as to any Diodachi, Alexandrian succesor mods that are availible for RTW. I really enjoy this period, and want to know if there are any mods you might suggest that would get as close as possible.

there was one quite a while ago that i was kinda waiting for, something like Successors: Total War. unfortunately there wasn't a big community interest and there was only a few people working on it if i remember correctly and it eventually died :shame:

A Sucessor Mod would be good, but you'd need a huge map and some way to have loyalist rebellions happen a lot of the time, so you wouldn't have to conquer every single settlment.

I was thinking of something like Seleucis having say a Eastern civilaistaion and cities like Babylon having Eastern buildings, Ptolemy with Egyptian, Lysimakos having a Barbarian culture and Antigonous having Greek culture. you could in theorey make a mod for it, but you'd have to put greek looking buildings into the other civilsations. And modify tech trees etc.

You'd also have to pick about timing (more than 2 turns a year)and movemnt points, otherwise it would take 50 years to move an army from the Indus to Antioch.

And you'd have to find a way to keep someone interested in playing the game.

LOL, so anyone want to?
