View Full Version : Why can I close threads in the frontroom?!!!

I just made a new thread and noticed at the bottom that when making the thread I had an option to close the thread when posting it  Why do I have that option and will it actually make the thread closed to all? There was also a sticky option but I suppose that is a "personal sticky" feature...

Edit: odd, I had the option to close and sticky when posting this thread too...

Same here. Most odd.
What's it good for if you're not the moderator?

Could be funny for the backroom, post a thread that's guaranteed to
make people mad and close it behind you. :laugh4:

The "sticky" is indeed a "personal sticky".

The closing "powers" do not go beyond closing your own thread immediately after staring it - this option makes sense e.g., for polls where you do not want to start a discussion to influence the results, or if you just want to make an announcement.

It's not a bug - it's a feature ~:)

I dont have these options in the backroom. Why?

You actually should have them - but only on the thread starting screen (at the very bottom there are two options that you can mark) . Once you actually started the thread you cannot lock it anymore

Nope.

You do not have these options when you start a new thread?
