Up until this year, I confess to contributing a $thou+ to the Dems. My bro, a solid a Republican contributed $0(as in nada ... he just didn't see the need. Since others were contributing for him) - one have to give to believe in the "message" - what ever that means (think it means believe as we say, not as we do - well, it does seem about correct for the GOP).
Thing is: Paying to believing. What is the cost to sell an administration's program to the public? And, once sold - to some - can we hold them to it. Especially, if their kid dies in a place we selected because of the oil interests there? Heck yes, just tell them the Dems are desicrating the graves of their honored fallen (ignore the facts that why they got there, how they died, or why they died was total BS).
I confess, I am a 'nam vet. I also confess I accepted that an Administration had better have a sold reason to lose the sons of my country (LBJ) - than the one Bush43 used. "Cause 9/11 is getting awefully old". So is Bush.
But, it is time for the Dems to step up to the plate .... or (God save us) a middle party of the TD-FDR-JFK-MLK., or Bobby lines that gave a sh_t about the little guy. Oh, never mind - the principles of America have been sold for the promise of "lower taxes".
Thing is, we all know: one gets what they pay for. Let someone else pay for your liberty? And what liberty exactly did you buy? Or, when did freedom become free?
It became free when we eliminated the draft.
