Welcome to the Org new members! ~

Use this thread to introduce yourself to the rest of our membership (and check out how your avatar & sig look).

Who are you?

For those interested, here is the link to the v.III thread:
https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=57672

Copied from Kukri

Welcome new members!

For those of you that find RTW too simple or easy, may I suggest a modification for Rome Total War. There are a wide variety of mods to choose from. I promise that once you download a modification, you will never return to "Vanilla" (original) Rome Total War. Modifications are free, very safe, easy to download or remove, and encouraged by the developers of RTW.

Rome Total Realism is a current favorite, and Europa Barbarorum is expected to be one of the most comprehensive total conversion modifications ever seen. A Beta version of EB for public testing is now available. www.Europabarbarorum.com

There are also many others to choose from, each uniquely able to enhance your RTW experience!

Welcome once again!

More mods can be found here (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/forumdisplay.php?f=76) in the org, or in other sites such as Total War Center (http://www.twcenter.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=34) and the Rome Total Realism forums (http://forums.rometotalrealism.org/index.php?showforum=83). I most definitely recommend installing a mod, as they greatly enhance gameplay and provide you with a fresh experience every time.

Well the other thread was going relatively fast compared to the second one, so what was your motive for making another one precisely ?

Other than that, welcome to the Org. Tiberius :2thumbsup:

Welcome all

Iron Monkey: hell yeah, might as well get as much out of the game as you can ~;). To date, I've DL'ed RTR Gold, RTR Platinum, EB v 0.74 and the beta of Chiv TW. Does bugfixer count as a mod too btw?

Vidar: and I'm sure you will contribute.

i have bug-fixer too.
@Tiberius whats RTR like? always wanted to play it. (but download is too big)

RTR has lots of provinces, and introduces the Area of Recruitment, making it harder to blitz the whole map. There are lots of minimods though, so one person's RTR can be very different from another's.

(which sounds so cool!)

Well all newbies :2thumbsup:

RTR is awesome, so many little mods....

I have installed

- Latinvoice mod (5MB)
- Music mod (203MB)
- Metro_Navalmod (5MB)

and the best one of all, a little mod that makes it 4 moves per year, so you get Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter.

It also starts in 280BC so you can play against Pyrrhus of Epirus.
It is very hard to explain how much better than vanila this mod is. If you also use proper roman size legions/ armies and follow the concept laid down by the dev team its very enjoyable.

Hello all!

Introduced myself here --> https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=57672 .... the .org newbie guide needs to be updated. It points to the vIII thread :dizzy2:

btw, RTR is great but still RTW ~;)

You're missed at the Will of the Senate, by the way.

Yes, senator Decivs Laevinivs I know !

Just seems like my exams made me miss about half of game thus far, plus a couple of reigns, I daresay. Reading up on everything that has been said is quite a job, especially since the threads are so active !

But thanks for the reminder, I will be back

IIRC, in Platinum/Gold there isn't much scripting in comparison to EB (you don't need to activate any scripts when booting up a game). However from what I read, 7.0 will contain alot of scripting.

Hmmm... I posted this in Hail New Members v. III and afterwards I noticed this version IV. So here we go again:

Ok, let's introduce (bis.

I'm proud to be part of the people that is the bravest of all the Gauls: I'm Belgian. 28 years old, have a degree in law (don't shoot me plz), like cycling, swimming, reading and love my girlfriend (soon to be my wife) and Total War (if I'm ever to divorce, Activision, Sega and Creative Assembly will be held responsable :2thumbsup: ).

Ever since I got my hands on Medieval Total War, I'm a big fan of the Total War series.

Not really a big fan. Actually I'm an addict. And since I got Barbarian Invasion I think I'm going to die from an overdose :help:

Maybe I won't post alot in the forums because I don't have that much time, but I felt obliged to register so I could just say thank you for this magnificent site and those magnifcent stories I loved to read.

Hmm thought I'd say my hallo here too, I've been browsing these fora for some days now and well, I'll take my chance

Conradus, living in Belgium (you know the small European country with NATO, EU, ... headquarters and some American A-bombs )
I've been playing Total War eversince Shogun first appeared (what was it 6 years ago?) and bougth everyone since then (except Alexander, hate download pays)
Played a couple of mods, including RTR and EB and if I can help some with a little historic advice (I'm quite good at it), just ask, although I'm sure there are far better historics then me on this board

That's just me and I love all the emo's here :p

(ow and forgive any errors in my English, it isn't my native language.)

Noticed that there was a version IV, so I've posted it here as well
