Long time TW player, playing since Shogun.
Got bored of RTR, so decided to give EB a go since it has a good political system etc.
So I made a copy of Rome, uninstalled the original game, reinstalled it, patched it to 1.1. Tried the 1.2 patch, but it tells me that Rome is already patched.
Can anyone help?
I believe you need the zip version of the 1.2 patch for manual install, which you can find on the EB website. There are detailed instructions in the EB FAQ thread in the stickies.

It's small, patch, made just after relase. Possibly in Romania, just as in Poland it came together with the game so you never noticed it.

It really was just a hotfix to get the MP working and tone down elephants a tiny bit.
It's included in 1.2 so no need installing it
