And the women should wear ankle-length sports pants, yeah!
What's with all this debauchery, eh ? Showing off their underpants or what-not, it's outrageous, I tell you !:end:

well....that and to hear women moaning.....moaning? when i watch women's tennis, all i usually hear are high-pitched screeches aimed, apparently, at canines..

it's annoying.

anyway, the women's final might be interesting. like most people, i dislike henin-hardenne. but i'm not a mauresmo fan. however, after henin-hardenne's shenanigans in the aussie open final against mauresmo, there might be some tension.
(re topic: between the two, there is naught cleavage to be found)

on the men's side, i wonder if federer will get revenge on grass for chronically losing to nadal on clay. nadal is an annoying primadonna-like character, so i'll pull for roger.

Perhaps the showing of too much cleavage has inspired some males to become exhibitionists as recent events have shown, ie. the guy who ran out on the court and dropped his drawers a few days ago.

if so, you were simply seeing traditional values. :blank2:

Yes, the women gives out high pitch screams. But hey, everytime they say "UGH!", lots of ideas run through your heads, no?

Would that be the streaking, or the showing of cleavage that is traditional? If it is streaking, than I must protest the lack of equal female participation in the tradition. If the tradition is cleavage showing, than let us keep up appearances, shall we? :unitedkingdom: Good show...and all that!

yeah.

but yes, i'm all for equal opportunity streaking.

Wimbledon's fashion police are on high alert, and are threatening to ban players from the storied grass courts of the The All England Lawn Tennis Club for wearing outfits deemed too revealing.

So no more tennis dresses/skirts that fall short of the knees

I love that phrase "Crackdown on Cleavage", it sounds dirty. :eyebrows:

Cleavage? That's what they're gonna get Sharapova for? Heck, they should have banned her a LONG time ago for her ANNOYING screaming. Every time she hits the ball it sounds like she is giving birth. This is from behind the TV screen, I can't imagine how much it must distract her opponents.

Another issue that annoys me about tennis these days is the controversy about "equal prize money". Lots of idiots like John McEnroe don't actually understand just how unfair it would be for women to get as much money as men. Sure, in non-grand slam tournaments they should get equal pay, but in grand slams men are playing about 1.5 times as much tennis in that they play 5 set matches, women only play 3. That's like hiring a female janitor to clean floor 5 of an office block, but who only has to work 5 hours a day, and paying her as much money as the male janitor who cleans floor 4 and does 8 hours of work a day. It's wrong, I tell you!

Maybe they should be paid for each point won. A pound-a-point! :laugh4:

Reminds me of my 'pub' days playing cribbage for a £ a point. :juggle2:

Attendance and ratings at an all-time low, Wimbledon admits crackdown on cleavage was "a total failure," plans to insert "minimum" rule next year

To be honest I think a minimum standard of dress, no excessive cleavage and knee length skirts, also the men should have to wear short sleeves and knee length shorts.

I'm sorry but its about the Tennis, not the bodies, it cheapens the sport and incourages exebitionism within the sport, some of them are more concerned with their looks than their game.

As to the screeming, it should be banned, its because they hit the ball so hard. If you have to grunt when you hit the ball like that then hit it properly.

You aren't meant to serve like that in Tennis, you shouldn't need arms like tree-trunks to play.

Its like fencing when everybody lunges in sixte and parries in carte. If you want to be fast be a runner, if you want to be strong be a weight-lifter.

Henman can play pretty good tennis but he loses out because he doesn't have a 1,000-mile-an-hour serve.

I think you need to repool your data on "reasons why people watch this sport".....

let me tell you.....watching a yellow ball being hit back and forth ain´t in the top 10....

And ban Lady Chatterley's Lover again as well, while you're at it! The country has never been the same since. :laugh4:
