Yes, No, or GAH! Why do you feel the way you do?

having seen her present the administration's talking points on various morning political news shows, i could never support her for any public office.

Gah is a very sensitive emotion for me. I feel Gah because, well, that's just who I am. My opinion towards Condoleeza Rice has always been very Gah.

Is this poll meant for US citizens only?

Nah. Feel free to vote. I would be very interested to hear what our international friends have to say about Dr. Rice.
There is only one thing that scares me more then Hillary Clinton and that's Rice.

With a name like that, I vote no.
And the sexism expected of every person should lead them to vote no...

Rice is a muppet who completely lacks credibility , is a major flip-flopper and known liar ....So Rice for President , she meets all the requirements .
see , no need for Gah in this pol at all , apart from for those who couldn't realyl give a damn about some impossible scenario:laugh4:
Buggrit milleniumhand and shrimp ...I knew I should have voted Gah .
BTW Divinus , I do like the way you bring in the Dr.Rice , does that have any bearing when you consider Dr.Paisley , Hovind, Shipman , Mengele , Amin , Castro?

She's a bit too extreme for my liking. Very hard-line on some issues. While I won't get a say in the matter, I'd rather she weren't made President.

She won't get any hotter (?!) in two years so :gah2:

She has shown ZIP on the campaigning ability scale. Not saying she doesn't have that skill, just that we've seen nothing. Moreover, she'd need to resign early in '07 to mount a proper campaign as she has no money built up or anything to date. VEEP in '08 -- far more of a possibility as its not beyond her demonstrated skills. Lots of GOPers want something like this so that they can say 'see, we're not racists.' Ludicrous really, as the Dems who view GOPers as racists won't alter their opinions anyway, the media will still hammer the GOPers on the same issues anyway, and most of the American electorate won't give a damn...about this or anything else.
Is Dr. Rice a tool? Maybe, but isn't that also part of the job description? It's not like Stanton's sense of independence contributed to the Union War effort in 1861-65 and Powell's "independence" didn't bring Operation Iraq to a stop. The cabinet are supposed to be working for the President to execute policy (within the confines of the law -- some of them forget this last bit -- <<cough Bill Casey>>).
Tribe', I'll agree with you that being a doctor doesn't confer morality on anybody if you'll at least consider the possibility that participation in the Bush administration is not an ipso facto demonstration of being morally moribund.
There is only one thing that scares me more then Hillary Clinton and that's Rice.
Thats sums it up for me.:2thumbsup:

Yikes...I'm the only one who voted yes.
Well, I think it'd be a great coup to have the first black pres, and the first female pres, to be a republican.
Shes seems conservative enough, and would appeal to broad sections of the electorate. Of course, she'd have some hurdles to overcome, so I'm not saying I'd support only her, just that it'd be good for her to try and get the nomination.

First African-American President.
First Female President.
First unmarried President?
What is her position on Cigars?
Bugging political opponents?
Any other tried and tested politcal peccadillos?
At some point, I'm sure the U.S. will have a black lesbian president; but the time is not right.

This the first time I voted GAH! in a poll. Rice may be an effective politican (though that's something I doubt too) but she can never be a president. She just don't have the people skill and can't connect with the public. As a President, you are the representative of the country and you need a certain amount of charimsa (though the current one lack it). Having political poweress is just one of the skills a president need.

voting someone into office based on the color of their skin or the type of gonads they have was made unacceptable a long time ago. Rice is pro-abortion and I would therefore never vote for her. I would rather have Hillary ruin the pr of the democrats than Condo ruin the pr of the republicans with a term or two in office. In the absence of a strong candidate, vote for the worse of the two evils unless the outcome is potential doomsday. As much as I hate Hillary, if she is elected the world will not end, so i would rather have a staunch conservative next time around. I hope that the next tiem around we have a black female PRO-LIFE conservative in the runnings to ruin the propaganda of the left.

Yes, she'd be the first American of known African descent to hold the office.
Yes, she'd be the first Female.
No she'd not be the first unmarried. Jackson (7th) was widowed between election and innauguration while Buchanan (15th) was single for the entirety of his Presidency. Buchanan was engaged at 28, but broke off the engagement. His fiancee died less than a week later (suspected suicide). Other Presidents have been widowed and/or married while in office.
Cigars -- hopefully she'd let us start importing habanas again.
Bugging -- what are you talking about? And speak slowly and clearly please.....
Peccadillos -- any relation to an armadillo? Sorry for the "scandalous" word association.

Don't know much of american politics, but Rice is one charismatic lady, attractive as well in a way I don't get. Could be the power

Currently no. Too closly affiliated with the Bush administration and doesn't show any signs of having acceptable policies or ideas on her own.
Althuogh a black, female US president wouldd be interesting, the policies weights heavily enough to dismantle the idea for now.

Not that I want to give her any input, but isn't she almost 60? If I am 60/70 and my wife still looks like that then I am a happy camper.

She is definatily not ugly.
She's attached.
Back in 2004, the following happened:
"At a recent dinner party hosted by New York Times D.C. bureau chief Philip Taubman and his wife, Times reporter Felicity Barringer, and attended by Arthur Sulzberger Jr., Maureen Dowd, Steven Weisman, and Elisabeth Bumiller, Rice was reportedly overheard saying, “As I was telling my husb—” and then stopping herself abruptly, before saying, “As I was telling President Bush.” Jaws dropped, but a guest says the slip by the unmarried politician, who spends weekends with the president and his wife, seemed more psychologically telling than incriminating. Nobody thinks Bush and Rice are actually an item. A National Security Council spokesman laughed and said, 'No comment.' "
Talk about your Freudian slips! This one should be in the textbooks. Ah, unrequited love. So poignant.

No, I like her but I think she has too much of the current administrations stink on her.
Sorry, Fragony, you'll need to look elsewhere. She's not available.
Hold it right there, for someone as youthfull as me it would be like wrestling with a sack with bones, all I said that she is atractive for her age.
Anything above 40 is like throwing a salami in a subwaytunnel anyway ~;)

Ha doth a victim present himselve so willingly? Let me tell you something, next time you make love to your loved one you will think of me, just because I just said so. It's called 'association', and it works.

I don't know why Frag but that picture makes me want to smack you in the face with a freshly caught fish. Maybe followed by one upside the head for good measure...
:idea2:
It's nothing personal, there's just something about a shiny complexion combined with a s--t eating grin that deserves smacking.
Sorry, just thought I'd share that with everyone.

Did you ever post in the family pics thread?:2thumbsup:
It would be interesting to see how she would operate when not part of such a corrupt machine. If things panned out, and pending her performance campaigning, I just might vote for her. It could happen.
