Don't know. I just got it and it seems a little...silly to bother with mods.

If there are any mods for Stronghold 2 you will be most likely to find them on Stronghold 2 @ Heaven Games (http://stronghold2.heavengames.com/), a really good site for a whole load of RTS's not just Stronghold.
There's numerous custom scenarios and maps that you can download from Stronghold 2 heaven as well.

there is no mods for Stronghold 2 at all. all you can get are maps. (alot of good ones on Stronghold 2 heaven)

...there is no mods for Stronghold 2 at all.Actually, there is a LoTR mod (in progress, last time I looked) as well as some scenery mods to be found here (see under "Design Corner"):Stronghold Knights (http://www.stronghold-knights.com/)

Edit: I forgot to mention that the in-game crests / coats-of-arms are extremely easy to modify (they are PNG files) using any graphics program, including MS Paint. It can be done in about 15 minutes and it is actually kind of fun to see your own design in the game. There is a simple tute at Stronghold Knights. Really the only joy I got out of the game was using the map editor like a type of Lego set...

Go to stronghold heaven downloads section and go to custom missions and my map "The last castle" is on one of the first ever pages.

Other than that, go to stronghold knights for all your needs.

I loved tinkering around with the first one, lots of fun. Unfortunately my comp comes nowhere near the minimum specs for Stronghold 2. It's a shocker that my ancient device can even play MTW.
