i dont know if there isnt any new on this or i just missed it but, since the game will have different faces and looks does it mean they have different armour and suits? like soldiers would and could customize their armour at will right? or am i referring to the greek hoplite era?

There never was, until the modern days, a uniform appearance of troops in any army, except maybe the Roman legions (the shields did bear distinct markings occasionally made by individuals, so not very uniform after all).

The Middle Ages are especially so, given that each soldier had to provide his own armour and weapons. Thus, some would be unarmoured, others could only afford leather jerkins, etc. In truth, there would be even more differences than it is possible to recreate.

The hoplites were similar (in that they needed to buy their own equipment), but the manner of armour consturction pretty much allowed a more-or-less uniform appearance ... the greatest differences IIRC were the helmets and the shields.

I am not quite sure what you are asking. Yes, medieval soldiers were mostly responsible for their own kit, so they could decorate it to their own desires. The game is going to simulate this individuality by having multiple alternative graphics available for each body part (shield, torso, head). However, there will still be a limited variation in decorations.

^Most screens show about 5 different versions of one type of soldiers head/torse/shield pattern.

The late medieval / early rennaissance saw more uniformity in professional uniformed armies.
