Hey guys,

I'm back after a long journey to find peace. Now, I'm ready for war again. The good news is I now have custody of my kids! We've been playing a lot of the Pirates of the Spanish Main cardgame. :duel: But, I haven't played MTW since winter. My boss and I still have a Danish campaign saved that I once mentioned. We want to pick it back up. Now, I am overwhelmed with the task or reading everything I've missed to avoid the inevitable repeat topic and questions.

Yes, now I see the multiple threads. My apologies. Actually, I was not sure they were posting...little computer problem. Y'all now how a computer always slows down the instant you are on a time limit and/or trying to do something specific! If you are just browsing, it's perfect, high speed, no bugs, etc.

For my first "too lazy to read 6 months worth of posts" questions........what is the Gold Edition patch I keep seeing? Or more specifically, what does it do?

Welcome back. To answer your question I think MTW released a Gold Edition which comprised a number of the Total War games. I also believe it was a bit buggy and needed to be patched. From the Petition I would hazard a guess that CA was a little slow to patch it. I'm sure they probably just had a lot on their mind with M2TW.

......what is the Gold Edition patch I keep seeing? Or more specifically, what does it do?
Also keep in mind you don't "install" this patch, but copy it over (overwrite) the original Medieval.exe file.
