Look okay if a little bland. Like the shield though.

I actually really like this one. It's simple, yes, but for the vast majority of units, simplicity should rank higher in priority than flamboyant fantasy. ~;) And as a plus the shield design is quite accurate for the period.

EDIT: I'm hoping that Jinetes in some form will be available to the Moors as well, since they were a Grenadine innovation and I rather missed them in the first MTW.

Where are saddles? Anyway overall it looks good.

It looks like there's a tiny saddle front poking up out of the horse, but it goes under the rim of his tunic. And again, no stirrups. Unfortunate, but easily moddable (the saddle, that is, not sure about the stirrups).

Bland say you? Who cares! They're in, oh glorious day!

Yeah, I really liked them to in the first MTW (well atleast as long as I was using them, fighting against them involved a lot of cursing).

I'm no historian but is bland not the way to go for medieval units?

It actually sort of funny because CA kept saying they wanted to capture the "pageantry" of medieval warfare.

Interesting. I wouldn't call Medieval warfare a pageant, more like a miserable, bloody, lice ridden, it's better to die quickly in battle while you're young instead of succumbing to famine and disease thing.

Well apparently the theme they're going for is that later era units are more likely to have bright pagent-like colors. Which would make sense, since historically, the late middle ages were a very colorful era.

Can't see the unit yet, CA's website isn't updating probably..

Mmm, kind of in the same way that no one cares you're happy that they're in the game. And lets face it, its not like its anything to celebrate, they were in Medieval so they were certain to be in this, what's the big surprise?

Very nice model. Of course CA has some altered versions of this, eg, different shield, different horse colour, and coif.

Hmm. :juggle2: I wonder what they're stats are going to be and if they're going to be included in the "pageantry".
