If I have the orignal RTW game nd then install BI, will the AI improvments in BI affect my original game as well? Will some other features be installed in the original RTW?

Yes, BI will patch the original game, and the patch includes the A.I. improvements (although I hear that the A.I. on the BI strategic map is still superior). However, CA also made these patches (1.3 and 1.5) available for download, so if you have already installed them you won't see a difference.
