View Full Version : Cavalry bridge crossing
Is bridge crossing bugged for light cavalry? They seem to insist on swimming across instead of taking the bridge.
I should mention that this is for BI.

Did you try positioning them right infront of bridge and then order them to move to it's other end.
The swimming thing is pretty bugged as it is almost impossible to get units who can swim to use the bridges- they will always want to swim instead- I'm afraid you will just have to account for it.

It doesn't work. Not with waypoints or any amount of positioning.
The only way I found is to remove the can_swim attribute.
Afraid that's just CA, if they add a new feature it has to be blatantly in your face just to ensure you realize its there, thus the AI has to be tricked into swimming constantly even when there's a perfectly good bridge that will help them cross way faster and conserve much more of their energy. Your units have to be similarly tricked in order for everything to balance out :laugh4:

And he wont go. And if you forgot to turn auto dancing you are going to get 20 tons of armoured horses.
