I did a search but could not find anything specific to the question I have here... except the recent post on tactics as the Seleucids (the opposite of what I need)
I've just recently launched a new campaign as Pontus using RTR 6.2, with an eventual goal of destroying the Seleucids. I'll skip the details, but the Seleucids just last turn conveniently came up and blockaded my port at Sinope (for one turn), so I marched south and took the Seleucid town just south of my capital.
I know I'm not near wealthy enough to try to take on the entire Seleucid empire (this is still Very early in the game) so I'm wondering: would it be good policy to take and exterminate their cities all along my border, then vacate and let them rebel? This would lose me income, it is true, but it would also form a very nice little border between myself and the Seleucids.
If that probably won't work, any other suggestions on how to avoid being flattened would be a big help. Thanks!
