So who read his novels?

I was surprised to see his obituary in the Times. I remember reading Legend many years ago and enjoying it immensely. He was good at creating heroic yet recognisabley human and believable characters, which is a great skill in a fantasy writer. I think he was only 57, very sad.

Oh God, I'm in shock. He died? I was just getting up the courage to write to him. I have the first Troy book, I was looking foward to the other two, and another Druss book. I mean I know he smoked and drank and all....

I never got to meet him, he was my favorite writer!

I've read many of his works, and enjoyed them all. Was sorry to hear of his premature death - he's actually younger than I am, so I expected to be able to read more of his new works in the future. Now, no one will get that opportunity. ~:mecry:
