Playing the Romani I can´t build anything but the third government building in Mediolanium/ Insubramrog. What´s with that?

the type of government you are able to build are depended by the place you want to build. For example the casse wouldn't be able to build a type 1 govermnent in India (a radical example but at least one I'm quite sure of). Now, the idea for the governments can be different from faction to faction therefor I'd suggest reading the descriptions of them (if you haven't done already) and I'm sure there is a piece about them in the faq. There also maps about this, I believe, in the map thread (one of the stickies) wich show wich governemtn can be built where.

In the case of Mediolanium it's a known bug of 0.74, you should be able to build a type 2 there.

I've actually been wondering how you guys set up this system. Can't really find any way to personally mod this. Is this a simple fix or a complex internal change?

Its all done by scripts, because to do it through the descr_strat would one for each faction (and a way to choose between the two in game - impossible). I don't know which script does it, but I assume its the EBBS.txt as that is the only that has been modded.

Why is it that Mediolanium is meant to have TypeII? I mean, why does it differ from Bononia, Patavium, and Segesta? Shouldn't they all have TypeI or all have TypeII? I'm just curious if there is a reason that Mediolanium differs.

The Po valley was treated as province, not as a part of italia until late in Caesars time, so no type I there.

Good to know there is a historical reason to it.

Patavium was considered part of Italia sooner though? Due to being on the coast?

Thx. That´s the reason I was looking for.
