So, I'm thinking we could all join this and take over a certain city we want. Cyber Citizens is an online text-based game, which is opening in late November, I think. I'm planning on starting an org mafia cosca to establish dominance over an American city, probably New York, LA or Vegas. If anyone wants to join, reply to this thread.
:bobby2: :rifle: :devilish:
Sidenote: I'm going to make an Italian American, just for the Godfather feel.
EDIT: by the way, I'm reserving the Godfather spot for myself this year before the first reset.

I think if we are all going to do this, we should have the same mafia.

Of course, that was the whole idea.
I might join. ~:) Depends.. does it cost alot of time?:embarassed:
Is it possible to have a mafia syndicate in that game or will they "over do it" with the jail thing to the extent that the mafia won't work?

I'd be interested. Any more info on how the game works? I can't find that much info on the website.

It's joinable.
Join me in New York, and we can mutually assist each other in rising in the ladder. Eventually when the organisation is large enough we can start extorting money while making plenty of our own from high ranking jobs and ownership of shops.

I created a character, but the stat increasing system really blows chunks. I can only walk around two miles a day, and I am unable to see what shops are beyond my walk radius, so I could be walking into a wasteland.
I joined.
Is there anyway to make money besides waiting? Or do I have to wait a week before I can acquire 5000 $?
btw, whats your organization called?
Avicenna

It's unofficial. We don't want the cops on our donkeys, do we? ~;)
My ID's citizencyber.
kekri: walking SE from the starting point in NY is quite nice as you can reach lots of shops on my point. By the way, you want a nice young kid, as they die by the time they reach 95, perhaps even earlier.
The other way to make money is, of course, extortion. Getting a better job increases income, and if you beat someone up you get 10% of their pocket cash. (if you win)
As the org mafiosi, we will probably be able to beat anyone we want up ~;p
I'm trying to recruit btw, and help would be helpful.

I was stuck in south central park with no money and my intelligence (which I spent everything on) dropping as fast as I could have raised it.
I decided to just resign from the game and start over... when they fix it.

Yeah, this is pretty stupid. I'll wait til the admin lowers the decreasing.. if he ever does.

Decreasing intelligence? What do you guys mean?

Sounds real stupid. I can run two miles in sub-12 minutes.

I spent like 300 dollars to build up my intelligence from 1.0 to 1.9 (0.3 three times), and the next day it went down to 1.6, which peeves me off to no end because I was in the military career track and I only get around 35 dollars a day, and increasing a stat is usually around 80-100 dollars each time.
Distance traveled in the game is based on health and other factors, and can never be below 2 miles or above 5.

Really? In London I spent around 95 for a full point intelligence upgrade, 1.0 to 2.0. I'm in the banking career track, by the way.

I've been reading the official website, and it sounds like its ****** up right now. A bike costs a grand and increases travel distance by 10% - wth? It seems most of the players are just trying to stay alive.
I'll gladly join an Org mafia after the admin guys makes a serious game.
Edit: And, apparently, telephone books and maps do not exist.

Ahh well. I'm reduced to a teenager in a temporary job collecting money.
Kekvitrae: want to do mentorships? We can both pile up on the intelligence and strength, as I'm aiming for military too. You can gain virtues by editing your citizen.
EDIT: a review of the jobs here: http://www.cybercitizens.net/jobs_display.asp has made me reconsider. I'm going down the banker as it fits a godfather like thing more. and has good preliminary pay so i can advance earlier.
