HA that is good, I find the idea of rival churches firing cannons at each other very amusing. :laugh4:

I've just founded my own religion (based of course on this custom). There is only one official ceremony but it lasts two to three days. During the year every devoted worshiper of this new religion will build himself a potato cannon and come to a certain place (not yet decided) on a certain date (waiting on a revelation of God for this one). Two teams will be formed and a potato war will rage for at least two days. The ritual fighting will only be paused for meals (mashed potatoes of course with either fish or vol au vent). This ceremony is an expression of friendship and tolerance.

P.S. I'm still looking for followers for either the potato war or the womans mashed potatoes wrestling ritual.

Can I join your religion. Does it already have a nice catchy name?
Can't wait for the wrestling ritual! :)

It doesn't have a name yet but if you want you can make one up. In exchange I will appoint you as my rightful representative on earth (me being the god of course) with all the perks that go with it. In your case unlimited mashed potatoes wrestling.

Philiïsm? OR perhaps Filiïsm. Then it come from both your name and from the latin word Filius. Wich we are we are all filii from the mighty god, Phill.

I was more leaning towards potatoism or perhaps pureeism (pronounce it like you would in Bilzen) but that sounds kind of lame. I can totally appreciate the logic behind Philiïsm so the job is yours. I just have to find some fairly attractive women (hey newly founded religions have to start somewhere) that are willing to start wrestling at your command. Somehow I feel this won't be an easy task on this forum.

Remember, if you're starting a new religion polygamy is allowed .

That speaks for itself. So Vladimir, interested in a position as high priest? The higher in the hierarchy, the more wifes you can take.

(there is no discrimination in philliïsm, so a woman can have several men to as long as she is high enough in the hierarchy)
