You are soo.... strange. Probably because I'm like the exact opposite.

Discuss.

Also, who knows about GameFAQs? Good times.

I don't mind Gamefaqs, it is certainly an active community, good for FAQs and reviews, but my god the immaturity and stupidity on that site make me mad. I really only use thr Wii board, but the fanboy fights and bashing is ridiculous. Any MTW2 discussion turns into saying how all muslims should be killed etc, its just ridiculous. You need to put the flame retardent on whenever you make a post sometimes.

I'm a semi-pro lurker. I've been coming here a long time and almost never post. Mostly, I don't have anything to contribute to the strategic discussions, and the off-topic threads are so far apart from my worldview that nothing good can come of adding to them :book:

Knowledge speaks, wisdom listens.

Celtic Guardian, that's why I use the social boards. And yeah, those flame wars do get soo boring, esp. when it's between the fanboys of Zelda and Final Fantasy. *Yawns*

Anyway, back to lurkers... *Disappears into the shadows*

No not lollipops PIES

Raz

Pies? Well, it depends on which one.

Anyway, pies are far too complex compared to a lolly on a stick. With pies you've got the pastry on the edges and on the bottom. Then you've got the top pastry. And then you've got the filling. But when compared to a lollipop, there is the stick and the hard crunchy bit at the top. So much more simple.

Bottom line: Pies are confusing. But they are yummy, especially when they're in your tummy. :2thumbsup:
Mmm. . . Pie. Theres a guy at my school named Pai. It's pronounced 'Pie' but I think he lies and he just calls himself 'Pie' when it's actually said 'Pay'.

Now all this talk about Pies is making me hungry. *Leaves topic*

I'm a sort of lurker, to quote an old friend of mine (my granddad, actually):
"The one hwo does not know, speak. The one who do know, is silent"
Yeah, well, something like that. It seems my super-translating-powers lack in this specific subject.

Now, what was that about pies?

A recent survey by a computer consulting firm in Chicago found that 98 per cent of the visitors to large sites with open forums - from AOL and MSN to sites like Slashdot - never submit ideas or articles and never post opinions or participate in arguments.

interesting...

Lurker on the Threshold

As the name suggests.......
Lurking is practically my profession. On this and several other boards.
This is the only one I've ever felt strongly enough to want to post a response. BUT I wasn't able to since I didn't have the r"rights" needed. SO...lurker no more am I. I will eventually make junior member status and be able to post a reply on MTW soon enough.

The not being able to post right away thing angered me...grr.

I too, lurked here for quite some time. Then I decided to ask about modding MTW, discovered I had to spam post to be able to ask my question, and decided to dive in head first. So now this is the second forum I post in at any prodigous rate (the other being a counter strike forum...).

And I know, spamming is bad... :spammer:

Well I am a member of several forums (OVer 1600 posts on one) so being called a lurker is something I would resent. That said I used to just read the Europa Barbarorum area for a while there, before I could be bothered to join up. So I was a lurker, now I have joined the ranks of you guys.

I guess i was a bit of a lurker, on off sort of thing, until i decided to actually join.

The not being able to post right away thing angered me...grr.

I'm a lurker when I'm not playing the game ;)

It annoyed me because I was really into the game, and must have been posting for about a week and a half, waiting for the day I'd become a regular member (there were a couple threads I created in the Entrance hall, to respond to something that had been posted in the MTW Main Hall, just because I was unable to post there), that by the time I had attained that status, I had moved on from MTW, and lost interest in responding to many of the threads I had intended to reply to.

My problem is that I'll play a game obsessively 12 hours a day (if I'm able to) for a period of about 2 weeks, and then I'll get to a point where I'll lose interest, switch to something different, and not return to the game for 6 months.

Since getting the Eras collection, I'll be trying to see how much gaming time I'll get out of it before I inevitably move on. Having just upgraded my computer, I'm looking forward to seeing how RTW runs now. Never did get a chance to play it.

No no, it's pronounced s-Pie-jet-ee.

Like s-Pie-nache.

Not like ananas.

Keba

No no, it's pronounced s-Pie-jet-ee.

Quite to the contrary ... spaghetti is pronounced as it is read, Italian doesn't have your weird english habit of writng things one way and reading them another.

It's spaghe-tti (the two t indicate a longer letter, you have to make it sound longer, thus, the pause in front).

Oh, and I've been a lurker for awhile, then someone asked a question I actually knew how to answer and joined. Afterward, I returned to lurkin, but recently decided to have a go at actually posting.
