This year’s story competition is over. The votes have been counted, the jury has debated, and a winner has been chosen. Competition was stiff and many good stories were submitted, making the decision for the jury hard, but rewarding. By public vote, the runner-up of this year's contest is Eclectic.

And by jury vote, the winner of the third annual .Org story contest is Don Corleone.

Congratulations to both!

And thanks to everyone else for making this year’s contest a success, whether by participating or by voting. Special thanks go to Dimeolas for providing the prize and to frogbeastegg.

And now, gentlemen, I am leaving on holiday. Thanks you all, :flybye: .

Congratulations to Don Corleone! Great work!

And thank you to everyone who voted for my story. With this vote, I hereby abolish the Senate and take ultimate power as Emperor. My reign shall last the ages, as I erect monuments to myself throughout my lands. Let all who know me see that today, I am your overlord and master!

:laugh4:

Just kidding. This is really cool. Thanks for voting for my story guys. It means alot. I'll be poking around the mead hall more these days I'm sure. :2thumbsup:

How is Don Corleone the winner? He didn't have any votes. Shouldn't the winner be Eclectic and the runners-up be tied between me and the Stranger.

There were three total votes. The Org community poll counted as one vote, Ludens counted as one vote, and frogbeastegg held the third vote.

I recieved one vote- that of the greatest number of votes from our fine community, while Don Corleone recieved the majority between Ludens and Frogbeastegg.

I think it would be more far if Ludens and Frogbeastegg decided who won from the two stories that recieved the highest votes. Cause a story could get twenty votes but if the two don't like it then it doesn't win. Sorry, if I seem like a sore loser. Congrats to both of you.

(I liked Eclectic's story better, though.)

Well thank you, King_Numero. That is very kind. And welcome to the Org.

If you have not yet tried a modification for RTW, I would recommend that you take a look at the modifications section. There are several great projects available free, all of which are compeltely safe and easy to download. It can make your TW experience even better. Check out the Mod Discussion forums here: https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/forumdisplay.php?f=119

The community is glad to have you and our friendly members and staff will be delighted to help you with any questions you might have.

Again, welcome to The Org. :2thumbsup:

Now go to the mead hall (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/forumdisplay.php?f=37) for some REALLY scary stuff. Courtesy of your local Org Horror author.

Check out "Any Night in Suburbia (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=67978)", and post me your critique.

Or check out the first chapter of "One Fine Teacher at Addie Historical High (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=67992)", a non-horror fiction.

Yes, the jury system has to be reviewed next time a contest is organized. I certainly hadn't expected there to be such a difference between public preference and jury vote.

Actually, Don Corleone bribed me with a promise not to decapitate my favourite horse. What can you expect from a guy with a name like that?
