Hi guys I have a question on how to do a few things on a laptop.

1. How do I zoom in? I know it isn't entirely neccessary but when I play RTW I always like to zoom in to the battles and definately always zoomed in on the campaign map. I can't do it with the mouse since there is no mouse.

2. When I play all of the unit sizes are halfed, so hastati now have 20 instead of 40 soldiers, and I would like to play with the normal unit sizes.

So does anyone have any answers on these things?

1. When I used to play on the laptop, I had a wireless mouse beside me..

2. Go to options, select "View Advanced Options" and change the "Unit Scale" from "Small" to "Normal".

The unit size is under graphic options, by the way.
You can also move, zoom and rotate by using the keypad, provided your laptop keyboard has one, that is. As a final resort, usb mouses are cheap by now. Unless you´re playing while on the train/airplane, that would probably be impractical, plus usb devices are battery power - leeches.

pressing one of these buttons: / * will zoom out or in.

I don't think they're there on Laptop.. To be more precise, don't remember..

But there was that function key that I used to do such things..

All I play on is a laptop these days (mobile MTW/RTW, wohoo!) and as far as I know there is no zoom in/zoom out.

You can drop down to the group with the keypad * key (Fn-P on my keyboard, but yours may be different). The camera goes up in the air with keypad / (Fn-0). Camera tilt is keypad ; for down (Fn-;) and keypad + (Fn-/).

A pain to use, but far better than nothing, and eventually you get used to it.
